* Debt Ceiling
Wayne Glassford - Thu Sep 7 2017 at 1:28 PM
I floated the idea in a post a few days ago as to why there is a constant back and forth over the debt ceiling
I have never seen a time when a new debt ceiling was not approved
What I have seen is various groups hold the process hostage to various demands
Some want this or that mostly some smaller spending
In the end these people lose the battle and if anybody thinks the debt will be repaid well??
Trump wants the next debt ceiling vote to be the last vote--ever and he has supporters for his idea
Probably enough to carry the idea, as the next will give enough time to muster the troops
I suppose one could say this gives congress more opportunity to spend, but isn't that what happens any way
Your dollar might be worth less or maybe not, but what does the dollar matter
I wish we had a 60 cent dollar
If you want to make and sell things, the dollar value makes it much easier than threats of trade tariffs, embargoes etc
Isn't making and selling things the goal for folks looking for work
Or is this supposed to be for the folks that do have jobs and want to buy cheap stuff that their neighbor could make and have money instead of social assistance which the people with jobs pay for any way
Would a lower USD bother you very much considering the benefits
* Healthy economies don't

Have cheap currencies it's that simple.
I would rather have a healthy economy.
but others may have different wants
