If May extends this month's decline, the September-2015 low crossing at 12.81 is the next downside target. Closes above the 20-day moving average crossing at 13.51 would confirm that a low has been posted. 



May cotton closed higher on Tuesday as it extends the rally off February's low. The high-range close sets the stage for a steady to higher opening on Wednesday. Stochastics and the RSI are overbought but remain neutral to bullish signaling that sideways to higher prices are possible near-term. If May extends the aforementioned rally, January's high crossing at 84.45 is the next upside target. Closes below the 20-day moving average crossing at 78.62 would confirm that a short-term top has been posted.
