Bombshell Trump-Russia reports

For the first time on Friday, a bombshell New York Times report confirms that federal investigators looked into whether President Donald Trump was a Russian asset.

MSNBC host Joy Reid, who filled in for Rachel Maddow on Friday night, asked former FBI assistant director Frank Figliuzzi what to make of the revelation that Trump was under a counterintelligence investigation by his own government.

“The impetus for the special counsel inquiry not necessarily jut figuring out the degree to which the Russians influenced the campaign,” Figliuzzi said. “But, rather now, we’re faced with a worst-case scenario, which is the possibility that the president had been co-opted and was in the pocket of the Russians.”

Given how far the investigation proceeded there had to be “specific articulable facts” that Trump “may be an agent of a foreign power.”

Here's an updated version of the story from the NYT for those that give a damn.

"Mr. Baker did not explicitly acknowledge the existence of the investigation of Mr. Trump to congressional investigators.

No evidence has emerged publicly that Mr. Trump was secretly in contact with or took direction from Russian government officials. An F.B.I. spokeswoman and a spokesman for the special counsel’s office both declined to comment."

It's like "the boy that cried wolf" on steroids using the gullible village people for over 2 years..........but these village people, instead of learning the lesson from Aesop's Fable, when the wolf didn't come, can't wait to believe in the next "fake wolf" story.

We have now redefined "Damning evidence" as the phrase means neither any longer.

SO does it not make sense

If the USA is so concerned about possible foreign intrusion into americian politics and elections

The USA should also do the same

The USA has been publicly interfering with foreign politics and elections for yrs

Not to mention the subversive actions most are not aware of

This is not WW11 when people worked behind enemy lines

Why can't or won't the USA stay out of other people's elections

The USA is the most war mongering, election interfering, regime changing nation on the planet

That is not healthy for peace and prosperity

Question for Trumpsters in MF land.

Given that Trump was surrounded by criminals and that all evidence thus far "proves nothing" it begs the question:

What WOULD constitute proof of the fact that we elected a criminal.  Please provide specific examples.

"Evidence of a crime committed by Trump."

I wasn't expecting a specific example from you Tim.  Perhaps some other Trump supporter will offer one?

"Evidence of a crime committed by Trump."

Oh, you mean like Trump violating campaign finance laws by paying hush money to Stormy Daniels & Karen McDougal, (a felony).

Or, committing obstruction of justice (& abuse of power) by firing Comey & confessing to it to Lester Holt on nation wide TV. ( a felony)

As much as you really really want to believe Trump has committed obstruction or violated campaign finance reform,  you need to either redefine the laws or get evidence.  So far, neither has occurred.

That will be decided by a jury when Rump goes on trial.

More wishful thinking based on a lack of knowledge..  If there is enough evidence, which remains a HUGE if,  Trump will not face trial, he'll face impeachment.
