Maybe I shouldn’t say anything… I am only an immigrant (the legal kind). 

For the first few years in the US, I thought it was my duty to blend in, to work hard, and to keep my nose out of US politics. It was much later that I followed political trends. I liked bill Clinton (forgave him for Monica), I didn’t like GWB’s politics (even though I thought he would be a nice guy to have a beer with), I was all gungho for Obama. I always considered the Republican party to be the party of big business, and the Democratic party to be the party of peace and tolerance, representing the average American. Every morning I got my news from CNN, and life was good.

And then came 2016!OMG!!!!!

No need to discuss the 2 candidates and the election again…..a very unlikely candidate became president.

what was astonishing was what came after the election. And I had to ask myself…had I seen the Dem Party in the wrong light, in the past, or was the Dem Party what I had always thought it was, but it had changed in 2016?

I assume, the latter is correct.

Don’t get me wrong…most Democrats are wonderful people….however, IMHO, the Clinton Factor, if I may call it that, shed a dark light on the party.

Usually, after every election, half the county is disappointed, but then they dig in and try again in the next election.

Not this time!

Within hours after the election, the Clinton camp created a scheme of false accusations to uproot the president. They figured, if they blamed the Russians, they could get the ball rolling and the election overturned.

The fake story spread to the news media, to Washington, and even to the FBI.For more than 2 years now, the People were bombarded with vicious attacks on the elected president… vicious attempts to demolish the election results.

And today our News Media (or at least 90% of them) have been proven to be nothing but despicable propaganda mills, purveyors of fake news and hatred. Every day, we watched their anchor persons getting into a state of seething hatred with their never-ending proclamations of “the tipping point”, “a bomb shell”, “the beginning of the end”.

In this day and time, it is difficult for the People to find an honest news station. How can anyone ever trust the MSM for providing us with truthful reporting?

And the reputation of the FBI was also tarnished during the same 2 years,

Please don’t interpret these few lines as an endorsement of Trump. Our President has indeed quite a few flaws (and he also has a long list of positive achievements).

However, the events of the last 2 years (the Mueller witch hunt…the hatred displayed by some of our politicians…the vulgar display of hatred by some of our movie stars) show us that our society is not what it used to be. IMHO, our society has sunk to a low point.

Rather than celebrating, as many of Trump’s followers are doing, I think we are at a sad point in our history
