of course he knew about Russia. We have known that for years. The libs have tried to blame Trump for Obama mistakes, again well known. What is so damning is Obama and the deep state trying to pin collusion and treason on Trump.

The thing that many are missing is that Obama didn't REALLY drop the ball and let  evil Russia do serious meddling which threatened our democracy and affected the election of 2016.

This extreme narrative of Russia being the enemy with an unprecedented attack on our electoral process in order to get Donald Trump elected was manufactured as a marketing scheme to sell everybody on Trump's:

1. Being a benefactor, who colluded with Russia and a traiter for doing so, while committing these crimes.

2. To make it look like our enemy, Russia knew that Trump as president would harm the US and this was his objective.

3. To discredit the Trump presidency and overthrow the will of the people.

If Clinton had won, would there have been a Mueller investigation for 2.5 years?

Of course not!

But if Russia did exactly the same things and Clinton won, why no investigation?

Because there would have been no need to investigate a not President Trump. Only needed to do this for the 3 reasons mentioned above and back to the original point. Back in 2016, when Obama did nothing, there was an expectation that Trump was not going to be president as well as Obama and his administration knowing that the Russian meddling had been going on for years and what happened in 2016 was nothing that unusual.

It got turned into something unusual, by manufacturing and greatly magnifying the effects, well beyond the realities, turning them into an unprecedented attack on the US in order to accomplish the 3 items above..............AFTER Trump got elected.

BTW, who was vice president in 2016 and should also have known what was going on?

Spying on Trump, while he was running for president is clearly unprecedented in American history and is bad enough but then to  manufacture circumstances with fake information to frame him as a traitor, colluding with Russia in order to destroy a legally elected president is worse than Watergate with regards to one element.

There were alot of people involved with this scheme and cover up. With Watergate, it was easier to investigate than this situation because here, it's the actual investigators that committed some of the crimes and a few of the sources in our justice department at the very top were the most corrupted  this time.

Here is what happened with Watergate. It started as a break in to the DNC to get information but the investigation turned up a long history of corruption by the Nixon administration. This included him spying on and ordering investigations into his political opponents...............similar to what they did to Trump.

So in this case, its almost like a reverse Watergate. Instead of Trump, being like Nixon and abusing his power to investigate his enemies and spy on them.............Trumps enemies, including the justice department and previous administration, illegally spied on him and ordered an unjustified investigation of him.

Instead of being the perpetrator, he is the victim of the actual crimes that were committed.

MM, I also believe that Obama turned a blind eye toward Russian meddling for fear that the door then would be opened into his own meddling into the Israel elections

mcfarm,

Intervening in foreign countries affairs is what we do in the US.

Something like triple the amount of the entire rest of the world combined.

https://nationalinterest.org/feature/why-america-addicted-foreign-interventions-23582

Why is America Addicted to Foreign Interventions?

"The United States engaged in forty-six military interventions from 1948–1991, from 1992–2017 that number increased fourfold to 188."

This is why the outrage over Russia's interference in our election in 2016 is so absurd.

It would be like Charles Manson insisting that some guy smoking a joint get the death penalty because Charley got life in prison and the weed smoker is much worse than him.

mcfarm,

We have one side that defines everything in terms of "blame Trump, get Trump" and the other side "blame Clinton, blame Obama, get Clinton, get Obama) and this is blinding you to what actually happened here(actually, did not happen).

What we have been led to believe is that our mortal enemy Russia, committed this unprecedented atrocity against the US  with attacks that threatened the democratic  system that defines us.

The reality is that, yes Russia did try to interfere(again) and have been doing this for many years........as evidenced by the reports that Obama had back in 2014 on this. However, you will note that the public was never informed about those previous attacks from Russia..........that Obama had. The MSN did not report on that attempted interference in previous elections. They probably didn't know because nobody gave them the information because it didn't serve any purpose...............UNTIL TRUMP GOT ELECTED.

That's when the "Russian interference" narrative was created to destroy Donald Trump. It greatly magnified something that, previously was pretty significant(and maybe better managed with different actions) but turned into a crisis that threatened the fabric of our democracy and elections...............in order to connect it to Trumps being elected and Trump being part of the dastardly crimes committed by Russian.

This was just a big fat, fake narrative. Now it makes Obama look really bad for not doing anything. Forget the blaming of Obama for not doing anything because its tied to the big, fat fake narrative manufactured to get Trump.

We need to get the ones that manufactured the environment and the fake narrative in order to investigate Trump for 2.5 years for something that he didn't do in order to destroy him. If Obama was part of that in spying on Trump.......get him for that but not for not doing anything about Russia.

Putin is an evil man and not somebody we should admire. However, Russia is NOT our enemy. Ironically, our enemy is within..........it's some of our own people.

"We have met the enemy, and they are us"
