Let’s see if non-left biased media starts picking up on this. Until then, it probably won’t have legs.

suspicious activity does not mean red flag.....from the article....wondering if 3 years, 35 million dollars, and 19 Trump haters doing the investigating did not turn up anything who in the heck is this deutch employee to say something? Remember how this entire mess started with the CIA and FBI planting stories, leaking them to cnn and then faking an investigation on those same planted stories....well sounds real familiar with crazies in congress trying to get Trumps tax returns doesn't it?

mc,

Like I said, as long as it is just left biased media pushing this hard, I don't see it being significant. I'd have to see media outlets like WSJ, Fox News, the Washington Times, and the NY Post take this on to feel it is a threat to Trump or his family.

Trump has been laundering money for 30 years from Deutsche Bank and Russian mobsters.  This isn’t news.  We knew that we elected a criminal.  The people (electors) have spoken.  Leave Trump alone.

trump has lots of bad characteristics...and good as well...not unlike most humans...he certainly is no billy graham but you either need to document what you said or retract it and if not MM should retract it...what is fair to protect precious lib feelings here is then fair to protect conservative feelings as well

joj,

I guess you didn't notice. This is one person's report from the NYT and everybody else is just repeating it  as if its crime and a fact.

There is no independent verification going on.

If somebody makes an allegation, and 100 people repeat what that person says, its not any more powerful than it was..........it's still just one persons allegation.

Please tell us what "suspicious activities" means?

 What was the crime?

Having an anti laundering specialist recommend an additional look into the activity as part of their ongoing  protocol  of investigating situations like this is not a crime last time I checked.

Unnamed sources and wild speculation about Trump, especially when it spreads like wild fire to all MSM source's  in a flash, has in the past yielded a bunch of nothing.

Maybe there is something finally this time. Seriously, there actually is a chance that could happen one of these times..........finally.  Maybe after striking out dozens of times in a row, they finally found something but I've been in "Boy who cried wolf" mode the last 20 times. I'll believe there is a wolf when I actually see the wolf.

"Trump has been laundering money for 30 years from Deutsche Bank and Russian mobsters.  This isn’t news.  We knew that we elected a criminal. "

If it's such old news, than, no doubt you can provide lots of specific  evidence for us. In the absence of that than you are just making stuff up to smear Trump.

So, if I sell something, property, car, stocks, etc, to someone who has gained the money illegally,  I am engaging in "money laundering"? How about if I sell something to someone who sold something to someone who gained the money illegally?

That was a pathetic defense of money laundering Tim.  Keep digging.

You are making accusations with no evidence.   No one, not even Trump, is required to verify the source of income from people making a purchase.

Trump selling property to people who have engaged in illegal activity doesn't, in and of itself, make Trump complicit.

We already knew that Trump was the worlds biggest real estate developer and as such, would be doing business with the worlds richest people.

We also knew that many of the worlds richest people got there with corruption.

So this is not news.

This certainly was(-:

"The FBI also struggled to figure out where Ivankov lived. “We were looking around, looking around, looking around,” James Moody, chief of the bureau’s organized crime section, told Friedman. “We had to go out and really beat the bushes. And then we found out that he was living in a luxury condo in Trump Tower.”

There is no evidence that Trump knew Ivankov personally, even if they were neighbors. But the fact that a top Russian mafia boss lived and worked in Trump’s own building indicates just how much high-level Russian mobsters came to view the future president’s properties as a home away from home."

metmike: A Russian mobster was living in a building that Trump owned/lived in

When stories like this use that sort of thing to persuade us that Trump is a criminal..................we know they can't have legit evidence or they wouldn't waste the print space with such silliness to discredit themselves.

To be fair, the transaction was large enough that Trump showed up for the closing so he's at least met the man.   But if you were to ask me how well I know the people  I've sat across from at the closings over the years,  I'd have to dig into the records to tell you their names.  And I suspect Trump has attended more closing than me.

In the final,  unless the guy made the purchase with brief cases full of cash,   it's not money laundering.

cliff,

When you guys are in your searching the internet for any links that you can find to show things about Trump that will trash him mode,  you should, at the very least check to read what the other one already posted.

joj already posted your 2nd link and Tim and I already rebutted the significance. If you'll scroll up and actually read the discussion, you will see this.

Thanks and something more important.

I deleted mcfarm's post for being a political attack and offensive this weekend and scolded him then, Tim had a cut and paste political attack that I was going to delete but realized I was being too harsh on one side and can't delete his when I've been tolerating your 85% political attacks on Trump and more specifically on his supporters here.

At least mcfarm and Tim are posting other interesting stuff to offset any political/divisive stuff. You used to be able to do that more often in the past.

What's happened to you cliff?

You've turned into a troll.......or maybe because I have a soft spot for farmers, I just never noticed before.

It's good to have viewpoints here that represent both sides, in fact, I wish we could have more liberals like lar and carl here that can make great points without being trolls, calling names or attacking.

I  suspect that the reason that you have turned MarketForum into your trolling site is out of habit and because you can.

Please try to minimize this sort of thing, that has been defining cliff at MarketForum for some time now. The only reason to post something like that is to upset people that support Trump. If you want to show meme's that support who your favorite political figure, that's great but clearly, you are targeting MarketForum people here with this stuff, which some of the time is intentionally inflammatory.

How can I delete mcfarm's thread/picture and scold Tim for his political meme...............and let you troll with reckless abandon?  The answer is, you need to try to control the manner in which you express your hate for Trump and apparent hatred for people that support Trump here.

This particular thread is not in violation but it's coming up in this thread, since I have your attention(though I have my doubts sometimes with regards to whether you actually read other posters comments) and I had to address isolated posts by  mcfarm and Tim in the last week.

Please do not make posts like this one below intended to upset others.

If you want to make yourself look silly by starting misleading   threads with cliff's version of "fake news" like you did earlier on Australian wheat  to blame something on Trump that the other side can debunk with the truth that's your choice.

You find it offensive and yet you repost anyway?

What would Alex think or do?

1.    As moderator, my job it to protect the integrity of the forum for EVERYBODY and not let a few try to bully or target others with posts intended to upset them.

2. If I'm making an important point, I want to make sure it's clear, which for most here, using words suffices very nicely. However, with you, that has not been the case in the past if it's something that you don't want to read or learn about because of your extreme cognitive bias, so I figured the actual graphic that you posted earlier would help you to understand better.

3. What would Alex think or do?  That one brought a big chuckle. I'm busting my butt  for free to make this a quality place for ALL people and one of them, who disrespects our forum  and a good number of other posters here on a regular basis, asks a disingenuous question intended to suggest that I'm being unfair for not letting them sheet here with impunity.

4. Your defiance is duly noted and shows that cliff is about cliff and what he wants to do and post.

When I corrected Tim and mcfarm, they were very cooperative and understand the reasoning.

The other 3 that got banned,  when I tried to have conversations with them about this topic, their response was to call me a liar or that I was picking on them/one side or to question whether I deserve to be a moderator or whether a moderator should be able also give opinions..

Despite your response, I know that you're smart enough to have understood the message.
