Typhus and Tuberculosis .....welcome to Los Angeles

Some 60,000 homeless people live in Los Angeles County. They can be found almost anywhere…. In parks, under bridges, next to freeway ramps, etc.

An unusually heavy concentration of homeless people lives in Downtown Los Angeles, not far from the glitzy financial district, and not far from City Hall. ..from an older area, that used to be called Skid Row, all the way to the railroad tracks.

There, the sidewalks are completely filled with homeless people, as well as trash. The people there sleep surrounded by their own trash and feces. The sanitation cervices of the city cannot keep up with cleaning these areas.

And with the trash comes another problem….rats. The rat population of this area has exploded, according to city officials.

And with the rats come diseases.

And so it happened In Los Angeles….

No, not diseases we are familiar with, but diseases that had been eradicated in “developed countries” years ago, but still exist in Central America and other distant countries… diseases such as Tuberculosis, Typhus and Trench Fever (the WW1 vets on this forum may remember that one)

There was a small outbreak of Typhus in this area, last year, and a much more significant one this year. Officials in the health industry are becoming fearful of an epidemic.

While our officials blame the homeless and our rats (or our lack of a good rat-control program) for this problem, I must say….not so fast….

The homeless have been here for quite some time, and our rats have been here even longer... without causing such frightful diseases.

How could the rats transmit diseases that have already been made extinct??? Their fleas only transmit diseases that are already here.

There is only one logical explanation (even though it may not be politically correct to say so)….

Typhus ( and most likely other equally extinct) diseases were brought by already infected newcomers to our homeless population

The authorities in charge of border control and immigration have already admitted that their medical facilities are filled to the bursting point with sick people…most of them the regular garden-variety diseases. However, they have detainees that have highly contagious diseases, such as the ones mentioned, and they are so dangerous to the other detainees that they had to be placed in quarantine. A shocking number of 2,000 people are in quarantine.

Those are the ones that were captured…. how about the ones that got across the borders during the night? I am sure, quite a few of them eventually wound up in our “skid row”. Is it then any wonder that those old diseases are now festering among our homeless?

In the meantime…. While the DHS is sending plane loads full of more illegal aliens to the sanctuary cities in our sanctuary state, some of our homeless people are now making plans to organize and prepare for a migration out of Los Angeles. It would be a long and dangerous trek, but it would be an improvement. They are talking about beautiful, far-away places, places with a pleasant climate, places far away from the misery and crime they are dealing with here in Los Angeles, places with exotic names, such as Guatemala, Honduras.

(sorry, don’t have a link for this last paragraph, since I made it up the story in this last paragraph)

Joking aside….. what if the US made an effort to show pictures of these slums on television throughout Central America. Maybe, the people there would think twice about travelling to the US.

Throw in the news that 42 people were shot in Chicago, last Memorial Day, and their claims that they are fearing for their lives in their home-country would ring rather shallow

Just remember, there is no crisis.  And if there is one, Trump created it. And he was clever enough to make it only affect democrat strongholds.  A diabolically evil genius...

Thanks Gunter!

We are not able to properly manage and take care of our own homeless or manage crime in many of our big cities and the drug abuse crisis continues to worsen.

As I said in the linked thread,  Seattle is not dying, it's committing suicide.

Societal suicide is the historical objective of leftist ideology.

OK, that's not fair.  It may not be the objective,  but it's a consistent result.
