Seems the sort of thing that would be all over this MF. Am I missing something?
"The Strait of Hormuz, the world’s most sensitive oil-transportation choke point, was in focus Thursday, after two tankers were reportedly attacked, and damaged, off the coast of Iran."
And thanks to you, it is now Tim.
Thank you!
Been busy with grains and ng..........this is what a forum is all about.........everybody contributing and starting threads.
Last oil thread:
So oil spiked when news of the attacks hit the wire
What happens now
Countries allied with the USA do not want a war with Iran and the USA
But what to do??
Every ship can not have protection with out increased cost
As it is insurance premiums will be up
Trump is trying to stop Iran from going unclear
So he sanctioned Iran to cut off as much revenue as possible
The world knows all this but what happens now is what the world does not know
Personally I would mount heavy defensive armour on my oil ships and anybody within a certain range would feel the heat
I do not know how far a misssile in water can track a ship and hit it
I was surprised that the Stock market held up so well. It either means it's going to rip higher or that the news is not as threatening toward war as is seems on the surface.
I was thinking the same re: equities. And the spike into the close was a surprise. Over night, futures have been somewhat subdued. Very dynamic market.
