I noticed the corn is much stronger than beans.  Can someone enlighten a grain lurker on the disparity?

Planting delays right now a much bigger concern for corn.


Some think corn acres may be switched to beans.


Beans may be going to wake up if delays continue.

Corn gets planted first and needs to be done by early June in most cases. Because of wet soils, maybe 10% of the crop will not get planted. 

Also, very late planted corn, historically does not have yields as big as early planted corn.

Based on current weather forecasts, if beans start having the same planting delay issues that corn had, beans could pull corn up even more in their wake.
