Snow in valley at Vail, CO

For the second morning in a row, it is snowing in the valley at Vail Village!!

 They’re only just above 8K feet. The radar indicates it is about to end. What an amazing event so late in the season!

What's the historical data on snow  this late in the area?

   Getting snow even up at the 11K+ foot summit this late in the season is rare. But getting it this late down in the valley at just above 8K feet could very well be their latest on record by a good margin since the town was founded in 1966! The only problem is that I don’t know of any official records to look at. But fwiw, I’ve been following their wx closely for about 15 years and I’d bet heavily that this is by far their latest since at least then.

 Enjoy the cam now because radar indicates it is about to end.
