G20 summit: It's Trump versus the rest again on climate change goal shift

https://www.business-standard.com/article/international/g20-summit-it-s-trump-versus-the-rest-again-on-climate-change-goal-shift-119062900351_1.html

“The United States reiterates its decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement because it disadvantages American workers and taxpayers,” the document says. It also says the US “is a world leader in reducing emissions” and is committed to deploying advanced technologies to clean up the environment."

"The other 19 nations committed to the full implementation of the Paris Agreement and its “irreversibility." They emphasized the importance of providing financial resources to developing countries as part of the deal."

metmike: The deal would do nothing for the climate.....in fact, China and India continue to increase CO2 massively with the deal. The deal is entirely about the transfer of wealth from the rich to the poor countries.

United States remains outlier as G20 split  over tackling climate change

"In that accord, 200 nations agreed to limit the global average rise from pre-industrial temperatures to below 2 degrees Celsius. Current policies put the world on track for a rise of at least 3 degrees Celsius by the end of the century, the United Nations said in a 2016 report, however."

metmike: 1. They WERE telling us that  +2 degrees would be the point of no return but that didn't scare people enough and was not coming soon enough for people to do exactly what they said we had to do right now, so they decided to change that to +1.5 deg. last year and give us only 12 years(unless we go for the Green New Deal-here in the US-which would make almost no difference globally). Nothing changed about the science.......nothing but they just adjusted the fake scenario to make it scarier sounding as part of the marketing scheme to sell the hoax.

2.  The temperature has gone up around 1 deg. over the last century and the warming is NOT accelerating.  How is it that in the next 80 years, the temperature will be going up AT LEAST 3 degrees Celsius?

Trump is exactly, 100% correct on his decision. Not just based on what's best for the United States but what's consistent with authentic science and the truth behind the real intent of the Climate Accord.

Interestingly enough, this is one of his activities that the left claims is destroying America. I guess they have a different definition of "Destroying" than I do.
