Used to be when I opened MF a pop up ad would appear. I know bills need to be paid and revenue generated. This is okay with me
However, I used to be able to X out if I did not wish to read the Advertisement
As of lately there is no way to "X" out. I have to shut down and then re-enter. Strangely enough no pop up ad appears the second time I enter the forum, and I proceed as normal. Thiis is no big deal to me. Just bringing this to your atteention if you did not already know
I am happy to see revenue be generated and will happily allow the pop up advertisement, as it is nothing to worry about

For some reason, the CME ads are larger and can't be closed with an x being clicked. So, then it has to be reloaded. On my phone, the CME ad covers the entire screen. But all is good if that is needed for revenue to keep the site going.

When I open the same issue with pop ups exist
If I go to "new topic" all is okay
But if I go to "index" then I get a second pop up
Same thing
Exit the forum and re-enter
I should add this happens when I am just reading the various posts
So now I have pop ups when entering and also when going to index
New topic works as always with a pop up and then exit and re-enter
No pop up allows one to exit with an "X" button visible
I even tried searching the advertisement space in hopes of accidently hitting something but nothing happened

Something just happened
I exited MF and then re-entered to post my water crisis post
I rambled all over the forum, posted etc. and no pop ups in sight
I like the idea of no bother with pop ups, I can't exit, but golly doesn't the forum need advertisement revenue
If I don't see the pop up then the advertiser is not reaching the target audience
Not trying to be hard to get along with as 1st I complain about pop ups and then I complain about no pop ups
