metmike: The massive spike higher in corn prices here in the US from planting delays has killed demand and sent it to other countries(South America), where prices were MUCH cheaper.

Below is a graph of our exports.

Below are exports of our competitors, that have been selling much cheaper corn.:

Following up on yesterday's discussion of #corn exports and U.S. competitors, #Argentina (like #Brazil) had a blockbuster July, shipping around 3.23 mmt. Top destinations, in order: Vietnam, Egypt, Algeria, South Korea, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia.

#Argentina #corn exports, year to date. Along with #Brazil's data, helps to explain why U.S. exports have been struggling in 2nd half of 2018-19. Argentina starts exporting its corn around March while Brazil doesn't ramp up until July (they export their 2nd crop).

Karen Braun calls this spring rally "massive"...really? with the weather we had . the PP acres, and now the dry, that rally was mild, very mild....where is she getting this massive rally stuff? Seems the market has ignored a lot of the news except the china news
