Certainly not the main focus today, but analysts see conditions for U.S. #corn and #soybeans falling 1 point each this afternoon. Spring #wheat conditions also seen down 1.

metmike: I would be surprised if conditions did not drop this afternoon........especially in the large dry area in the central and eastern belt.

Crop ratings unchanged surprised me a bit considering how dry its been in the central/eastern belt but its just more evidence of the benefits from the increasing CO2. It makes crops more water efficient/drought tolerant in addition to providing atmospheric fertilization.

Conditions for U.S. #corn and #soybeans were unchanged on the week at 57% and 54% good/excellent. Spring #wheat fell 4 points to 69%, and harvest progress has reached 8%. Winter wheat harvest is 89% complete.
