How long has it been since Sanders was a govonor in Mass??

Have I got that correct

Well:

Somebody dug up a tape of Sanders being questioned about this and that, some time ago, while he was govonor

He was asked about single payer medical care

He is on tape as saying

"If you gave everybody in the country a medicaid card which would mean free medical for everybody. It would flat out BK the nation"

He went on the say unless the cost was brought under control, [which nobody seems tto know how to accomplish] then the nation could not afford single payer medical care

So:

It seems to me cliff is corrrect. It isn't what they say. It is what they do

We all know Sanderes wants free everything not just medical care

So:

Is Sanders knowingly spreading political, stump speech lies, just to get elected???

Or does this man have no moral character and will say anything even though he "knows" none of what he says is possible

Either way this man is a fraud

How many other Dems have mostly the same platform

Wayne,

Sanders was never a governor. Not sure where you are getting that. He ran for that office once though.

Regardless of his position,  in '87, Sanders did say that it would bankrupt the nation.  I guess he's "evolved".

I think that it's extraordinarily  unfair when things that people said or positions they had 30 or even 40+ years ago are brought up today........then they are judged in 2019 based on if they had said the same thing today.

In the 1990's for instance, I believed some of the extreme climate change predictions........catastrophic sea level increases and much stronger hurricanes for instance.

It's very good when people can change based on their increase in  knowledge and understanding. When its rooted in objectivity.

Sanders is anything but objective on topics like climate change and energy policies. His perceived knowledge is based on anti science using manufactured facts to support a fake climate crisis which supports US sociaism thru a Green New Deal and global socialism thru the Climate Accord.

He is to be held accountable, here in 2019 to the realities and facts of 2019.

He fails at this so miserably, that I devoted an entire thread to busting his bs:

Sorry MM,  but he's been selling "Medicare for all" for decades.  As long as I have been aware of Bernie,  this has been his position.   And it's one of the most dramatic "180's" I've ever seen.   It looks to me like he suddenly realized he could buy more votes with Medicare for all than he could without it.  IMO,  you don't evolve into socialism by learning more about economics and we know Bernie is a fraud.
