#Corn and #wheat export inspections were slightly below expectations last week while #soybeans were in line, albeit at the lower end. Some 140k tonnes of beans were sent to #China. YTD bean shipments are now above last year (but total bookings are well below).

USDA announces the sale of 198,000 tonnes of U.S. #soybeans to #China for delivery in 2019/20, and the sale of 240,000 tonnes of U.S. soybeans to unknown destinations in 2019/20.

USA shipped 56,660 tons of #pork to #China in August, the second highest monthly volume on record behind July. The YTD total is 294k tons, some 34% more than in the entire 2018 year.

Business was dead until January, but then it picked up later in the year after the goodwill purchases began in December. Usually it's the opposite - not many U.S. #soybeans tend to sail to #China in the 2nd half of the marketing year.

#China wasn't alone in lifting Q4 exports. USA shipped 5.46 mmt of #soybeans to other destinations in Jun-Jul-Aug, well off last year's 9.4 mmt but 2nd highest all time. Leaders: China 6.34 mmt#Mexico 1.25 mmt Indonesia 0.68 mmt Japan 0.51 mmt Egypt 0.37 mmt
