"A prison break and a bombing claimed by the Islamic State punctuated fears that the Turkish invasion, now in its third day, was sowing mayhem."

"The campaign began after President Trump suddenly ordered American troops to withdraw from the area, giving implicit approval to Turkey’s long-anticipated attack on the Kurdish-led militia."

"Turkish troops and their Syrian Arab allies have captured a cluster of villages around the two towns, which lie in the center of the Kurdish region."

"Their presence has prompted 100,000 residents to flee south, according to United Nations estimates, and forced the evacuation of a major hospital in Tel Abyad that was run by Doctors Without Borders, an international medical charity."

It should be noted that Trump did not coordinate with the US military OR the Kurdish authorities before making his announcement.  Why would anyone trust the USA in the future?  Betrayal is difficult to put back in the bottle.

You won't find a single article on Foxnews about it.

Maybe you'll read about some comment about the Green new deal from AOC though.

They got ride of Shep.  Now if only they can get rid of Chris Wallace....

What this boils down to is that we are pulling out 50 soldiers.

Thousands of fighters and the US is pulling out 50 soldiers.

And Whoopi............morphs her previous position on all the conservatives that she's been bashing for 15+ years, so that she can pretend they were actually not that bad after all, in order to make it look like her bashing of Trump is unique..........but it's not Whoopi. It's the same thing you did to Bush, McCain and Romney.

Your flambuyont, expressive personality caused you to hammer them to the max  with intentions of it affecting others opinions to the max.

Now that you found somebody thats much worse, that you really, really hate, the Boy that Cried Wolf syndrome has already kicked in.........and there is no NEW level, above your max level from before, so now, you want to reset the standards and tell us the max before was really just in the middle and THIS is the max.

Are you saying Libs seem to forget their absolute unquestionable hatred of previous republican presidents and take a stance like "  They weren't so bad, But This Guy!!!!"

I never thought of that...

I guess they must feel that showing some sort of faux tolerance gives their current (never ending intolerance) credence or something.

The good thing here is it absolutely works with a population where the vast majority are severely infected with CRS (Can't remember shyt).  We believe what we are told today and what we knew yesterday is unimportant.

Defense chief defends Trump decision on Syria under questioning from Chris Wallace

https://thehill.com/homenews/sunday-talk-shows/465565-esper-defends-trump-decision-on-syria-under-questioning-from-chris

"Defense Secretary Mark Esper defended President Trump's decision to withdraw U.S. troops from northern Syria during an interview with Fox News's Chris Wallace, insisting that Turkey was ready to invade the country to attack Kurdish forces regardless of the U.S. actions.

In the face of questioning from Wallace, who suggested Turkey might not have gone through with the offensive if Trump had not removed the 50 U.S. troops, Esper said the U.S. could not have prevented it.

“I think they were fully committed,” Esper said of Turkey. “We are not going to go to war against Turkey, that’s not what we signed up for.”

Wallace asked whether the troops could have served as a tripwire, and suggested that Turkey would not have begun the incursion if Trump had not announced the move to remove them.

Esper said U.S. troops should not be likened to a tripwire.

“I’m not one to classify them as a tripwire and sacrifice them, if you will,” he said.

“We only sacrifice them if Turkey goes ahead—maybe we would have stopped them,” Wallace countered.

Esper responded that Turkey was determined to press into Syria no matter what."
