Weekly export inspections for #corn, #wheat, and #soybeans were all in line with expectations last week. Corn insp. are badly lagging YOY, but they were extremely strong a year ago. Soy insp. to #China totaled 136k tonnes.

Export sales in the week ended Oct. 10 were good for #soybeans, average for #wheat, poor for #corn. #China bought 851k tonnes of beans, Egypt was in for 160k, Mexico 102k. China also bought a lot of #pork.

The data also shows that weekly U.S. #pork sales to #Mexico through Oct. 10 were easily a weekly record at 132,381 tonnes. Perhaps Mexico is feeling the pressure with #China suddenly so active in the market? Again, the 2014 spike shown is artificial - was a delay in reporting.

U.S. #pork sales for next year have already reached 195,128 tonnes through Oct. 10, way more than in any other year, and most of that has come in the recent two weeks. #China accounts for 99% of total sales.

U.S. #pork sales to all destinations this year total 1.51 mmt through Oct. 10, more than in any other full year. #Mexico has bought 31%, #China 26%, Japan 11%, South Korea 10%. FYI the 2014 spike was a delay in reporting - not a genuine weekly jump.

Through Oct. 10, #China has bought 387,563 tonnes of U.S. #pork, easily a record. Only #Mexico has bought more for the current marketing year: 464,535 tonnes.

NEW RECORD weekly U.S. #pork sales to #China through Oct. 10. Weekly total was 152,599 tonnes (62% this year, 38% for next year). That tops the previous week's total record of 142,172 tonnes.
