Should hit the FL panhandle early Saturday just under minimal hurricane strength.

Nestor is hitting the Florida panhandle as a tropical storm and will be crossing the Southeast as a post tropical storm dumping some extremely  welcome rains:

Yes Mark...........and its over now but rains the last couple of days were very much appreciated in those areas but hardly enough to put a dent in the long lived drought!

However, the outside part of the drought areas is going to be bombarded with rains the next week.........with drought busting gusto in many spots!

If I read that map correctly

An 1" of rain will fall way up north in the blue area

I don't think some of those people even want another 1"

Am I reading the map correctly???
