Please don’t laugh, but something just occurred to me…. the similarity between a movie plot and current events.

If you saw the movie The Gladiator, you may remember one of the battle scenes in the Colosseum. Emperor Commodus wants Maximus dead, and a fight is arranged between Maximus and a retired unbeaten champion gladiator. It’s arranged so that Maximus would lose. Yet, Maximums cuts that champion gladiator down, and the audience, as well as Maximus wait for the Emperor to give the thumbs-up or thumbs-down sign...whether to let the downed gladiator live or die. The Emperor, clearly annoyed that Maximus is still alive, gives the thumbs-down signal.

And then the unthinkable happens…Maximus, instead of finishing the downed fighter off, he defies the emperor… he throws his sword down and refuses to make the final strike.

For a moment there is shocked silence in the arena…defying the emperor is punishable with death ... but then the audience breaks out in a chant “Maximus the merciful”

The emperor, clearly upset, grudgingly accepts the crowd’s wishes and lets Maximus go unpunished.

Today, we live in a time when the Establishment/Deep State dictates the policies of the US….. and they want war!

Obama promised during his campaign to bring our troops home, but his handlers soon made him add an additional 30,000 troops to the 70,000 troops already in Afghanistan.

Hillary “nuke ‘em” Clinton was the choice of the Deep State/Establishment, to continue their program. She even promised to start a preemptive nuclear war.

And then came Trump. He promised to stop our nonsensical endless wars, and bring our troops home.

He hasn’t done much yet about this issue, but last week he made the first step… a step that shocked the Establishment…. he wants to withdraw our troops from Syria.

The Establishment, as well as our MSM, are now falling all over themselves, blaming Trump, and calling him all kinds of names.

What if the People stood up and started chanting….”Trump the Peace Maker”

Would the Establishment listen to the People?    nah... wouldn't happen. Trump has already stirred up too much dirt with his Ukraine questions. They are in a panic. They must finish him off quickly.
