ILLINOIS

Northern Champaign County (east-central IL) – 1100 acres of soybeans averaged 50.5 bpa, vs. last year’s 78 bpa average.

Champaign County (east-central IL) – Finished beans this week. Final yield was 68 bpa, vs. last year’s 90 bpa.

Champaign County (east-central IL) – A field of beans made 39 bpa, vs. 76 bpa last year.

Southern Vermilion County (east-central IL) - First field of beans (planted May 20th) made 65 bpa. Producer was expecting something in the mid 50s. Second field of corn (planted May 7th) made 225 bpa, vs. 255 bpa last year.

Iroquois County (east-central IL) - 80 acres of soybeans made 37 bpa, vs. 41 bpa 2 years ago.

Iroquois County (east-central IL) 120 acres of beans made 38 bpa. In 2017, the yield was 52 bpa.

Livingston County (northeast IL) Corn made 182 bpa, vs. last year’s 214 bpa.

Livingston County (northeast IL) Beans made 61 bpa, vs. last year’s 64 bpa.

Dwight (northeast IL) - 50 acres of beans made 45 bpa.

Forrest (northeast IL) - 160 acres of beans made 46 bpa.

Forrest – 80 acres of beans made 56 bpa.

Stark County (north-central IL) – 80 acres of soybeans made 67 bpa. Another 160 acres of beans made 74 bpa.

Kankakee County (northeast IL) – First field of corn went 255 bpa. Farmer’s response was “Too bad we didn’t get more corn planted.”

Macon County (central IL) - 500 acres of corn, across 6 fields, averaged 214 bpa, vs. last year’s 231 bpa, and an APH of 216 bpa.

Gilson (west-central IL) - Half done with beans and yields have been running 52-74 bpa. April planted beans are down on yield a little bit from previous years, but surprised with June planted beans being better than we thought. 33% done with corn. It has been all April planted harvested so far. Running 205-235 bpa, off from the past couple of record years but good for the year. Haven’t gotten to any June planted corn yet. Still too wet. Concern is if it will dry down or not.

Farina (south-central IL) – A field of beans made 60 bpa, vs. 71 bpa last year.

LaSalle County (north-central IL) – 71 acres of beans made 58 bpa, vs. 72 bpa last year. 40 acres of corn made 160 bpa, vs. last year’s 225 bpa. Producer hopes things get better.

Carlyle (southwest IL) – Beans averaged 54 bpa, which is about 15 bpa less than last year.

Hancock County (western IL) -160 acres of beans planted on June 3rd made 74 bpa. Well managed farm on good ground.





INDIANA

Vermillion County (west-central IN) – A field of beans made 57 bpa, vs. an APH of 65 bpa.

Huntington County (northeast IN) – 20 acres of beans made 46 bpa, vs. 47 bpa 2 years ago. Another 43 acres of beans made 54 bpa, vs. 63 bpa last year.

Huntington County (northeast IN) – 76 acres of 99-day corn (planted after May 25th) made 223 bpa, vs. an APH of 210 bpa. Farmer was very happy.

Wabash County (north-central IN) - 30 acres of 105-day corn planted on May 15th made 151 bpa, compared to 173 bpa 2 years ago.

Shelby County (central IN) -53 acres of soybeans made 59 bpa, vs. an APH of 62 bpa. (Shelby County is one of 4 counties in Indiana not declared a disaster area by the governor).

Benton County (northwest IN) - 160 acres of corn went 190 bpa, vs. 220 bpa last year.

Western Indiana – Beans made 46 bpa vs. 63 bpa 2 years ago. Farmers continue to be very disappointed.

Decatur (northeast IN) – Producer is finished with both corn and beans. Beans averaged 60.5 bpa, vs. an APH of 69 bpa and 69 bpa last year. Corn averaged 207 bpa, vs. an APH of 189 bpa, and 220 bpa last year.



IOWA

Adair County (southwest Iowa) – 21 acres of 105-day corn planted on April 25th made 215 bpa.

Adair County (southwest Iowa) – 35 acres of corn made 215 bpa, vs. an APH of 190 bpa.

Adair County (southwest Iowa) – First field of beans made 68 bpa.

Adair County (southwest Iowa) – 50 acres of beans planted April 25th made 79 bpa, vs an APH of 62 bpa.

Guthrie County (southwest Iowa) – First field of beans made 74 bpa.

Sac County (northwest Iowa) - 1,627 acres of beans averaged 59 bpa, vs. last year’s total average of 77 bpa.

Sac County (northwest Iowa) - First few fields of corn were 262 bpa and 258 bpa.

Boone (central Iowa) - 40 acres of 3rd year corn made 232 bpa, vs. 235 bpa last year.

Perry (central Iowa) - 140 acres of beans planted in mid-May went 73 bpa.

Ralston (west-central Iowa) – 70 acres of corn-on-corn made 250 bpa, vs. 180 bpa. Farmer admitted he scrimped on fertilizer and fungicide last year.

Arcadia (west-central Iowa) – 80 acres of corn made 210 bpa, which is down 10 bpa from similar dirt last year.

Calhoun County (west-central Iowa) - Beans are running 52-65 bpa, which is off 5-8 bpa from last year. Too wet, too many holes.

Fayette County (northeast Iowa) – 30 acres of soybeans on sandy ground made 56 bpa, vs. an APH of 57 bpa. Another 120 acres of beans made 56 bpa, vs. an APH of 43 bpa.

Grundy County (central Iowa) - 286 acres of Group 2.0 beans planted on May 2nd made 71 bpa, which is the same as last year.

Grundy County (central Iowa) - 285 acres of Group 2.0 soybeans planted May 3rd through May 7th made 73 bpa, which is the same as last year.

Grundy County (central Iowa) 202 acres of Group 2.2 beans planted in late May made 60 bpa, which is 12 bpa below last year. Producer attributes the lower yield to late planting and seed variety.

Hardin County (central Iowa) - 38 acres of 100-day corn made 221 bpa, vs. last year’s yield of 232 bpa.

Marshall County (central Iowa) – First field of corn made 230 bpa, vs. 260 bpa 2 years ago. Waiting for the beans to dry.

Poweshiek County (central Iowa) - 70 acres of beans made 55 bpa, same as year ago.

Poweshiek County (central Iowa) - 70 acres of corn made 208 bpa, compared to 253 year ago.

Taylor County (southwest Iowa) - 93 acres of 109-day corn planted on April 20th yielded 198 bpa, vs. an APH of 190 bpa.




KANSAS

Hiawatha – 115 acres of soybeans made 69 bpa. Another 119 acres of beans made 75 bpa. Farmer was very pleased.

Hiawatha – 220 acres of soybeans made 81 bpa. That same field made 82 bpa two years ago.

Hiawatha – Corn is running between 180 bpa and 200 bpa, compared to 173 bpa APH and 15 bpa below the best yields ever. Beans are running around 80 bpa, which is 5 bpa beter than our previous best. Obviously, we are very pleased.


Brown County (northeast Kansas) – So far, beans are averaging around 75 bpa. We got all our beans planted in April to maximize the sunlight factor so we’ll see how we finish. We have some SDS issues with planting that early.




MINNESOTA

Blue Earth County (southwest MN) – 43 acres of corn made 217 bpa, vs. an APH of 201 bpa. Another 170 acres of corn made 219 bpa, vs. an APH of 203 bpa. Another 154 acres of corn made 157 bpa, vs. an APH of 200 bpa. This last field had greensnap.

Lincoln County (southwest MN) - 150 acres of early beans went 48 bpa, vs. an APH of 52 bpa. This area is 60% prevent plant on both corn and beans.

Murdock (west-central MN) – 101 acres of beans planted on May 29th on not very good ground made 46 bpa. APH is 47 bpa. 154 acres of corn made 199 bpa, vs. an APH of 190 bpa.

Freeborn County (south-central MN) - 56 acres of corn made 226 bpa, which is 20 bpa better than last year.

Mankato (south-central MN) – 40 acres of corn made232 bpa, which is 35 bpa better than 2018.

Windom (southwest MN) - Soybean harvest nearly complete. Yields are averaging 55 bpa, vs 65 bpa the past several years. Disappointing, but not a shock considering the growing season.

Tracy (southwest MN) – 600 acres of beans, all planted in June, averaged 55 bpa, vs. an APH of 58 bpa. Producer is pleased, considering this is the highest PP county in the state. He is a seed dealer, and 4 of his customers are reporting corn yields between 200 bpa and 220 bpa.

Glencoe (central MN) – 100 acres of corn on pattern tiled soil and well-managed, averaged 232 bpa, vs. 230 bpa 2 years ago.

Ada (northwest MN) – 320 acres of Group 0.7 soybeans made 44 bpa, vs. an APH of 43 bpa, and 54 bpa last year.

Garvin (southwest MN) – 200 acres of Group 1.4 beans made 49 bpa, vs. an APH of 52 bpa and 53 bpa last year.





MISSOURI

Southeast Missouri - Bean yields continue to be very subpar out of southern Illinois and Southeast Missouri. Lots of 38-52 bpa averages.

Adrian County (west-central Missouri) – 20 acres of corn made 235 bpa. Another 77 acres of corn made 203 bpa. Another 107 acres of corn made 230 bpa.




NEBRASKA

Platte County (east-central Neb) - 500 acres of soybeans averaged 63 bpa, vs. an APH of 60 bpa.

Antelope County (northeast Nebraska) - 40 acres of corn went 215 bpa, which is 20 bpa less than 1 year ago. Another 50 acres of corn went 225 bpa, about like last year.

Antelope County (northeast Nebraska) - 77 acres of beans went 70 bpa, which is 10 bpa better than last year.

Antelope County (northeast Nebraska) - 135 acres of beans went 54 bpa, vs. and APH of 63 bpa.

Southwest Nebraska – 810 acres of beans made 79 bpa, vs. 86 bpa last year and an APH of 63 bpa.

Holt County (north-central Nebraska) - 4 fields of irrigated beans made 72 bpa, 69 bpa, 71 bpa, and 79 bpa. These yields are similar to last year.

Holt County (central Nebraska) – 130 acres of irrigated corn made 193 bpa, which is 20 bpa less than last year.



NORTH DAKOTA

Page (west of Fargo) – 1,000 acres of Group 0.7 soybeans (partially irrigated) made 60 bpa, vs. 55 bpa a year ago, and an APH of 48 bpa.




OHIO

Northwest Ohio – We took prevent plant on 100% of our corn acres. First 3 fields of soybeans made 51 bpa, 64 bpa, and 44 bpa. (This last field was mudded in). The average of 53 bpa is below last year’s yields and a little below our APH.

Central Ohio - Done with corn. It averaged 118 bpa, vs. 169 bpa last year.


TENNESSEE

West Tennessee - Finished beans. 759 acres averaged 52.3 bpa, vs. 60.6 bpa a year ago.
