There can't actually be many people out there that believe this. Agree or disagree on whether he should be impeached but, seriously Adam Schiff would have been trying to impeach a democratic president like this for the past 3 years?

Yeah, he really said it.

Trump’s GOP support hardens despite damning impeachment testimony

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trumps-gop-support-hardens-despite-damning-impeachment-testimony/2019/11/23/b1625d6c-0d6f-11ea-bd9d-c628fd48b3a0_story.html

"So far, the historic proceedings have exacerbated the political divide. Some moderate Republican lawmakers once seen as the most likely to break with Trump condemned his conduct but signaled in recent days that they would probably vote against his impeachment because they do not believe the president’s actions meet that threshold."

So during the last 2 weeks, the hearings caused:

1. The dems and MSM  insisted daily that new bomb shell and smoking gun, convincing testimony made it clear that this president committed impeachable offenses.

2. The moderate( more objective?) republicans that had not committed, saw it exactly opposite. So did the independent voters who flipped to more of them NOT wanting impeachment vs wanting impeachment before the hearings.

3. The interpretation by the dems and MSM is that they have it exactly right, are being patriotic, protecting the Constitution and would be doing the same thing(Schiff) if this were a democrat because this is not partisan.

How much more looney will this get?

We still have numerous weeks to go.

There can't actually be many people out there that believe this.

But here's  the  thing.    There are millions who do believe this.

And that's fine. But the problem is...  These people vote.

I can't imagine they believe it. It just doesn't matter to them.

We have accepted lies and deception in politics and some journalism as part of the new normal.

Can you say Mueller investigation. Even after the results cleared Trump of colluding with Russia(after 2 years of hearing constantly that he did it and the proof was irrefutable), instead of those being very wrong acknowledging it, they decided to still twist it into something to impeach Trump over. Then when that failed spectacularly, there was no accountability, just spinning everything to match whatever reality they can get people to believe........what half the people WANT to believe.

So everyone knows that Schiff is not what he says..........but they want to believe what he says.......so they do.

Even though they know that he is lying about his motives here. ....but lies are ok if they will help get trump.

MM, As if there were any question, this just confirms what a complete hypocrite and fool Schiff has become. We have a VP on video actually bragging about black mailing a foreign leader over the investigation into his son's illegal activity and Schiff ignores that but is ready to jump he says....sure he is

Anyone who pays attention knows the dems, including Schiff, decided to impeach the night of Trump's election victory. They just needed time to manufacture a case,  hopelessly flawed as it is.

"Anyone who pays attention knows the dems, including Schiff, decided to impeach the night of Trump's election victory."

Your statement is backed up by the facts Tim.

Trump impeachment vote fails overwhelmingly                                12/06/2017 02:15 PM EST

The measure drew the support of 58 House Democrats.

https://www.politico.com/story/2017/12/06/trump-impeachment-vote-fail-282888

They were just waiting for the best ammo.  The whistleblower scheme that was cooked up and Schiff is in on from the get go(dating back to August, when we know from documents that his office had this-but he lied a month later and said that he didn't to cover himself)

https://www.marketforum.com/forum/topic/42509/

Adam Schiff Received the Whistleblower Complaint a Month Ago and Didn't Report It Until Now, Why?

"So this is suddenly a national emergency that needs immediate attention but over a month ago..........it wasn't?

Something was going on by Schiff and his colleages during that month related to their scheming that caused them to hold back.

I actually watched much of the hearing. Schiff continually hammered Maguire over the time delay that it took for the whistle blower report to get passed on, which they finally had after all that time, suggesting that this was because of an attempted cover up by him and others at the orders of the president............but Schiff was notified a month earlier of the whistle blower complaint, August 12th than what he was indicating during the hearing!

Did he wait that long intentionally so that he could manufacture the delay narrative?

Or did he wait for some other reason..........maybe, thinking that by ignoring it and not confronting the president right away, the president would continue on that course and he could bust him with more stuff related to this before he came forward with the national emergency?

I speculate that its the last objective. Wait longer to catch Trump in another call or saying/doing something else besides making a phone call. Maybe  Gulliani will do something if he waits a month..........or maybe Trump  withholding the aid package that went to Ukraine..................yes, thats what he was hoping for.

There was a delay in the military aid to the Ukraine and he was waiting as long as possible for the delay to stretch out. He was hoping that Trump would authorize the money to be sent in tandem with news from Ukraine that they had found Biden corruption..............and use that to prove the connection/corruption......but then, Trump authorized the military aid with nothing given him from the Ukraine, so he forwarded the complaint then......after the delay because he speculated incorrectly about what was going to happen."

don't know if its true or not but heard Obama had 8 whistleblower complaints. All were prosecuted for spying. Seems out first 1/2 black president that happen to have a D after his name may have also used the 2 tiered justice system in more ways than we already knew {fast and furious, the IRS mess etc}

One of the many mind boggling elements, is the mainstream media constantly stating that the Bidens did nothing wrong and there is no evidence to suggest that they did and Trump was just digging up dirt.

This is alternate universe type thinking as is Schiff telling us that he would be acting just like this if Trump were a democrat.

The Mueller report(which created almost all the crimes with its investigation to make it look legit) found nothing on Trump. They ended it by inviting CNN to record the Stone Arrest so it could be broadcast on the anti Trump station.

And everybody just accepts it and goes on as if all of this is normal......like we always spend 35,000,000 and 2 years to investigate every president, find nothing but still try to spin impeachment evidence out of it.

What previous president ever got that treatment?

The amount of corruption, lying, breach of ethics and law breaking going on related to this really does seem like it must be from another American Universe.

The United States of America, in this realm is one of the most corrupt countries in the world. With regards to interference in the politics of foreign countries, we have done more of that in history than the rest of the world combined.

Our arrogant, self serving and not accountable politicians and DOJ have been getting away with this stuff for decades. The main MSM in our country has turned into their key ally in their objective to destroy President Trump. The MSM has tremendous power and tremendous ability to impose their belief system with impunity because of  freedom of the press.

Ironically, that freedom is being used to destroy other freedoms and to control the politics of the United States by propagandizing voters with THEIR belief system.

Mind boggling corruption on a massive scale using today's power technology.........right in front of us and blatantly obvious.

Sadly, this is the new normal. We have been brainwashed to think that the US stands for Truth, Justice and the American Way because almost all of us believe in that and our country has done many, many good things.....for the world, our country and for the human condition.

But there are some really bad people in high positions who use their position for self serving, diabolical interests.

No, the new CNN poll is not good news for Donald Trump on impeachment

https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/26/politics/trump-cnn-impeachment-poll/index.html

metmike: Let's look at some of their numbers, which is why they are making a case for Trump to be impeached(since more people want Trump impeached than people that wanted the previous 3 presidents impeached).

"The peak of support for the impeachment and removal of then-President Bill Clinton in 1998 was 29% in CNN polling. That's the highest that number ever went, despite the fact that the House Republican majority did vote to impeach late that year!"

"Ditto impeachment sentiment for the two presidents between Clinton and Trump. In a 2006 CNN poll, 30% of the public wanted George W. Bush impeached and removed from office; in 2014, 33% said the same of Barack Obama. (Unlike Trump and Clinton, neither Bush nor Obama ever faced any sort of formal impeachment investigation or vote.)

What those historical numbers tell us is that for at least the last two decades, there is roughly 30% of the country that is ready to impeach a president (usually of the party to which they do not belong) at all times."

metmike: So with Clinton, who actually was impeached we had just 29% of the people wanting impeachment. Then  came Bush and the number increased to 30%. Then came Obama and the number increased again to 33%.

What this really shows is not that all these presidents committed impeachable offenses that were worse then their predecessors,  but the political divisiveness has been increasing the past 2 decades. When its so intense that you have this many people who want the results of a presidential election overturned, that's pretty extreme.

With Trump, he evokes extreme emotions and is hated like no other president and is the most divisive in history...... it's not a surprise that he would easily have the most people ever wanting him to be impeached.

It would be expected regardless of whatever the offenses are that he's being accused of. Many forget the last dem(entirely partisan) push for impeachment(Bush) in 2008. Bush was close to finishing out his term, so the objective was to mess up the republican party's chances in 2008, with warm monger "we will stay in Iraq until the job is done" McCain, who the democrats despised(until he and Trump fought, after that he became an esteemed, patriotic, infallible war hero).

Efforts to impeach George W. Bush

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Efforts_to_impeach_George_W._Bush

So the history of impeachment over the last 2 decades tells us even more about the purely partisan nature |and getting worse| of these proceedings. The fact that zero republics are supporting it right now is no surprise.

This makes Adam Schiff's comments, that if Trump were a democrat he would be trying to impeach him  for the same reasons, make him look criminally disengenous and untrustworthy.

I am not in favor of impeachment obviously but the dems have made a horrible blunder by having Schiff run the show. It's bad enough that he has lied so many times and got busted but he is not a likeable or charismatic person. He turns me off.

A good contrast to him was Bill Clinton. Even if you thought that he was telling a lie, it was hard not to like him.

Schiff hired former colleague of alleged whistleblower Eric Ciaramella the day after Trump-Ukraine call

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/schiff-hired-former-nsc-colleague-of-alleged-whistleblower-eric-ciaramella-the-day-after-trumps-ukraine-call

"A career CIA analyst with Ukraine expertise, the alleged whistleblower filed an Aug. 12 complaint with the Intelligence Community inspector general about the July 25 phone conversation between Trump and Zelensky.

The suspected whistleblower did this after meeting with a House Intelligence Committee aide on Schiff’s staff about the call, which is now the focus of impeachment proceedings. Before going to the Schiff aide, the whistleblower informed the CIA legal counsel's office.

Schiff initially denied he knew about the complaint before it was filed in mid-August.

“We have not spoken directly with the whistleblower. We would like to," Schiff said on Sept. 17. However, the statement was false, and an aide from his staff had spoken to the whistleblower before the whistleblower complaint was submitted.

The identity of the Schiff aide who spoke to the whistleblower has not been made public, and it has not been confirmed until now that Misko was on Schiff's staff at the time.

By Oct. 5, it was reported the whistleblower had never indicated to the inspector general he contacted Schiff’s office before filing the complaint against the president. Three days later, the whistleblower met with the inspector general to clarify why he did not mention his meeting with Schiff’s staff, saying he did not think that anything of “substance” was discussed."

metmike: It's crystal clear that this was a scheme perpetrated by Adam Schiff BEFORE the whistle blower complaint was filed because Schiff and the whistle blower plotted this before the complaint was ever filed. It's all there with documents and evidence and Schiff's numerous lies. Schiff and the Whistle blower met BEFORE the complaint was filed. That is irrefutable and they lied about it. They met because it was Schiff's scheme.

Schiff is the guy that should be impeached for blatant corruption in trying to overthrow the president on false pretenses and lies!!!! He's been busted repeatedly now.

This isn't small potatoes. We are talking about a diabolical scheme/plot to remove/destroy the president of the US  because he represents the opposing party.

He had half of the country believing Trump should be impeached based on this fraudulent scheme.  The scheme is out. The plot has been exposed and Schiff is behind it.........indisputable  based on the evidence.

How many MSM sources will report this fact?

None.

Regardless of whether you think that Trump did something wrong or not and whether it rises to the level of impeachment(which is pretty absurd if you use the facts), the whistle blower complaint is completely based on  a corrupt, well thought out scheme/plot by Adam Schiff and several other democrats/bureaucrats who want to take down the president.

The saddest thing about it, is that he's not only getting away with corruption and breaking the law, violating the Constitution and spitting in the faces of people who he is supposed to be working for but the MSM are putting him on a pedistole for doing it. Calling him and the whistle blower  patriotic, heroic and absurdly.........non partisan.

This is evil, Twilight Zone politics and news reporting.
