@kannbwx

It has been 265 days since the #CropWatch19 #corn was planted in North Dakota, and it still stands today. Some harvest has slowly picked up in the area, as they need to make room for a 2020 crop. Moisture is mostly around 20-23%, test weights 47-48 lbs/bu.

 Clicked on your link.

 Guess I missed following along on all this during the year.

 Great shots of the farms/crops and folks.  Rough and tough way to make a life but beautiful!

  John

 I have a hard time see all those crops yet unharvested

At 47-48 lbs test, and 23% moisture, having been in the field this long, I have to suspect that this corn did not black layer before the first Killing frost.

There are some places in this world that grain corn just was not meant to be grown

Unfortunately a couple, three good yrs and producers go all in, with big corn acres, only to fail

Folks are pushing the corn belt way too far north

Maybe a good crop 2 out of three pencils I dunno

Crop insur has taken a lot of the risk, also

Plus 13 billion of gov't aid in extra payments

How can you lose???
