The president’s rhetoric has changed the way hundreds of
children are harassed in American classrooms, The Post found

By Hannah Natanson, John Woodrow Cox and Perry Stein

https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/local/school-bullying-trump-words/?utm_source=pocket-newtab

I included the names of these deceitful, anti Trump journalists, disguising a hate Trump message, using children to try to get others to hate Trump.

First, let's be clear that I have condemned the manner in which Trump communicates dozens of times here........as recently as earlier today, I provided evidence to pj:

https://www.marketforum.com/forum/topic/47365/

President Trump IS a bully..........a big bully.

However, these reporters, decided to take that language and make complete bullsheet connections in behavior of  children, some as young as Kindergarten, that are supposedly getting their messages to bully other children from President Trump.

This is an outrage! For the past 25 years, I have devoted much of my life to developing the minds of children. I have coached almost 3,500 children from grades K-12 in chess.   I spend a dozen hours each week at 5 schools and currently, I have 210 students signed up on the rosters at those schools.

We live in an area of SW Indiana that is very pro Trump. Probably close to 70%. During the last 3 years, I have never witnessed an incident similar to what they claim is rampant......bullying tied to Trump.  There has been numerous bullying incidents, most of them not serious but none of them..........zero involved black, Asian, Indian or Hispanic students being targeted because of their nationality. My 3 bi racial grand children, oldest in 8th grade have reported exactly 0 incidents of being bullied because of their race.

This is one of the many absurd statements they make: "The Post found that Trump-connected persecution of children has never stopped. Even without the huge total from November 2016, an average of nearly two incidents per school week have been publicly reported over the past four years. Still, because so much of the bullying never appears in the news, The Post’s figure represents a small fraction of the actual total. It also doesn’t include the thousands of slurs, swastikas and racial epithets that aren’t directly linked to Trump but that the president’s detractors argue his behavior has exacerbated."

What's interesting is that school and cyber bullying awareness has INCREASED greatly over the past 3 years. This has led to an increase in students reporting being bullied vs previously, when some of it was NOT reported.    Melania Trump is on a crusade to help with this but I think that it has evolved independent of her efforts. There are now signs up in the schools. The families,  children and school faculty are being better educated. Children encouraged to report bullying  much more now.

10 years ago, if one of my students was being picked on, they probably would not have said anything and if they did, they would never have used the term being "bullied".  This year, I'm having serious behavior issues at one particular school. No big deal. Sometimes I have to assert myself beyond just being a chess coach.

When incidents occur, all of them minor, I hear about it immediately and they use the verbiage bullied often enough to tell me that they have all been taught this. I realize that real bullying is a very serious issue and am not downplaying that, since it needs to be confronted and stopped immediately. It can be devastating to the bullied student.  However, what I am witnessing is a lot of students reporting bullying because of  isolated incidents, like of another kid calling them a name(not related to race) or took their rubiks cube and wouldn't give it back to them.

Is Trump causing this?

Do these children even watch President Trump?

They would have to watch him  for very long periods of time to be there to hear him say something the MSM interprets as xenophobic or racist or anti Muslim.  Building the wall rhetoric from Trump is causing bullying to increase according to these reporters.

They have come up with specific incidents of kids being legitimately being bullied and want us to believe those incidents represent what's going on across America...............and it's all because of President Trump.

The families of the bullying children have more to do with them bullying, as well as potential psychological issues.  The school system/teachers have alot to do with how its managed............and we are getting BETTER at it.

Why don't they tell the truth about this rock solid fact?

Instead, poisoning our brains with yellow journalism and trying to get people to think that President Trump is causing a big increase of bullying at schools.

I am much more concerned about what Greta is doing to our children. Scaring them, causing alot of anxiety and worry about their future as she predicts the end of our planet in 10 years (just repeating that and her other  anti science lies to brainwash our vulnerable youth is a travesty)unless we all do what she says.  The older ones that follow her have had a big increase in the need for professional help to assist them with their real anxiety over this.

The saddest thing is that they want that to happen.

Why is the MSM actually encouraging this to happen? Brainwashing our children and scaring them with lies for their political agenda, then telling us that Trump is the one hurting the children?

These progressive activists that make up half of the MSM think that their altruistic motives........ things like socialism and getting rid of Donald Trump justify them twisting facts to impose THEIR superior belief system on the rest of us.

Let us have the authentic facts and decide for ourselves based on the truth!

Unlike what they are doing, we should encourage the education of these children with authentic science, not following a 16 year old, high priestess of the fake climate crisis religion cult..........making them dumber, fearful instead of optimistic and programmed, instead of critical thinkers!!!!!!!!!!

What the "Climate Crisis" is really all about:   Greta Thunberg is a Marxist. Climate religion(fake climate emergency) and the propaganda is all about converting us to global socialism.  December 2019

Please don't hate Greta!

It's impossible to know the truth of how this scheme got started but we know it isn't how Greta describes it:

Who is Greta Thunberg, the teenage climate change activist?

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-49918719

She has a group of climate activist adult handlers(that want global socialism) that have controlled her from the get go. They tell her most of what to say and arrange all of her appearances.

As if a 16 year old girl is going to be able to arrange to speak in front of all the worlds country's at the United Nations and in front of the US Congress on her own.

Shame on her parents for using their daughter and letting others use their daughter for this fraudulent purpose. Apparently,  their desire for global socialism is much more important than allowing their daughter to have a normal life.

Greta does appear to enjoy her celebrity status though.

However, in 50 years, probably much sooner than that, while Greta is still alive(and the planet is even greener and thriving)  when humans look back at this dark time for climate science(because it was hijacked for the political agenda) history will not be kind to Greta and many others like Al Gore(who will be dead) that fed us bs about a fake climate crisis...........while we  were experiencing the best weather/climate in the last 1,000 years for life on this planet.........a climate optimum!

This opinion article from CNBC makes some good points regarding Greta and the movement:

How 16-year-old Greta Thunberg’s rise could backfire on environmentalists

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/09/24/how-greta-thunbergs-rise-could-backfire-on-environmentalists.html

"There are plenty of politicians and regular voters claiming to be inspired by her words and passion.

There are also lots of observers expressing general alarm at what they see as an indoctrinated child being coerced by adults to make their political arguments with her youth as a shield from any criticism."

"In a remarkable interview on PBS last week, author Jonathan Safran Foer spoke out against Warren’s comments and pointed out that those who say they believe in the dire effects of climate change would do more than protest if they really believed it"

"Based on all the politically partisan slogans and signs we saw at the climate protests over the past few days, are we sure the top motivation is the environment and not politics? If the activists protesting right now could get the most serious climate change threats eliminated, but without politically defeating President Trump and Republicans and/or putting the big oil companies out of business in the process, would they still be interested in the cause?

This new focus on making environmentalism an angrier protest movement threatens to make the effort to protect the planet just another wedge issue that politicians often use to motivate their base of voters. Similar wedge issues like abortion and gun control have long shifted become tribal controversies with little chance of progress and compromise. Greta Thunberg is angry."

HI Mike

I am truly amazed at how you can take all most any subject and change the topic, mid stream for want of a better description, to a lecture on climate

This post started out with a story line about how Trump influences school children and being bullied. [By the way I agree with the story line]. If you read further to the end it is not just Trump supporters but also Dem supporters who say hate full things to school mates. We all know school yard bullies exist, thus it is not hard to imagine Trumps words get involved. I have not visited the schools personally, so I choose to believe the story, as written, until proven other wise.

Then your post switches to a lecture about Greta and that same old tired lecture we have heard for ever on this forum

Don't get me wrong Mike

I agree with you as I suspect most on the forum also agree

But golly: Stick to the topic and let it go with what was the initial reason for your post

Spare me the class room lecture for another, separate post so I can decide if I want to read the post. I read almost all your posts. You have a wealth of information and we are all much better informed with your posting

Thanks Wayne,

Thanks for the comments.

Sorry that you didn't like my opinion. Do you have any thoughts for why you disagree.......other than that you believe the article?  Those would be very appreciated.

Note, we can all agree that trump is a huge bully. What I would like to discuss, is how this is or is not affecting bullying at school.

We know that bully awareness /anti bullying campaigns are being very aggressive right now....including at my schools and this is what melania trump helps with and this is causing more kids to report bullying who did not report it before.

This is wonderful and is actually addressing bullying better.......which contradicts their story.......which uses reports of bullying and blames it on Trump.

Since you didn't make the connection when I shifted gears, let me help you

CHILDREN and how they are being affected in the current political environment. Is the topic.

I strongly prefer, as mentioned to you numerous times, to try to keep subjects in the same category under the least amount of threads.  This is what I suggested to you when you were opening new threads on the coronavirus when we already had a couple actively circulating.

This brings all the relevant points together in 1 thread vs readers having to got to 4 or 5 coronavirus threads to see each point.

On this thread, it would have not made any sense to start a new one with Greta anyway. It’s old stuff, right? However, based on the topic......affects of children from political figures its very relevant......even if the title featured Trump.

I am currently working with 210 children of this age, K-12 and decided my experience and observations would be relevant...........out of 3,500 children that I have tutored since 1995.

1. The story states that Trump is having a negative impact by increasing bullying. I disagree based on my observations here.

2. I claim that many more children/young adults are being negatively impacted by getting scared by Greta. I'll be glad to show you a couple of studies/articles on this.

Does that help you Wayne?

Keep in mind that Trump targets voting age adults.

Greta...............is making a concerted effort to recruit CHILDREN.

Devine: Irresponsible adults have caused the climate fear plaguing Greta Thunberg

https://nypost.com/2019/09/25/devine-irresponsible-adults-have-caused-the-climate-fear-plaguing-greta-thunberg/

Her words and demeanor are those of a totalitarian dictator. She says people who don’t act on climate change are “evil.” The United Nations and Congress should never have given her their platforms.

She has taken literally what irresponsible adults have told her, that the planet is going to end in 11 years unless we stop using fossil fuels.

Her parents and the climate industry have exploited her youthful idealism and rigid obsessions. They have frightened her out of her mind and now are exposing her to condemnation and ridicule.

They should be ashamed of themselves.

They have indoctrinated her into believing a childish fantasy, one that has captured the imagination of millions of susceptible children all around the world, and is causing them to suffer, like Greta, what psychologists call eco-anxiety.

One British report found growing numbers of children and young adults are being treated with psychiatric drugs to alleviate climate anxiety.

Some are so certain the planet has no future that they’ve sworn off ever having children.

As irresponsible adult Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told her 2.5 million Instagram followers this year, it is “legitimate” for young people afraid of climate change to ask, “Is it OK to still have children?”

Terrifying children with exaggerated stories about the threat of climate change is a deliberate strategy of eco-totalitarians. It is child abuse.

What Greta does not understand is that it also is a deliberate ploy by climate alarmists to advance their hidden agenda of destroying capitalism.

What to know about eco-anxiety

Written by Jennifer Huizen on December 19, 2019  Medical news

https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/327354

Eco-anxiety refers to a fear of environmental damage or ecological disaster. This sense of anxiety is largely based on the current and predicted future state of the environment and human-induced climate change.

According to a 2018 national survey, almost 70% of people in the United States are worried about climate change, and around 51% feel “helpless.”

Anxiety around environmental issues may stem from the awareness of a rising risk of extreme weather events, losses of livelihood or housing, fears for future generations, and feelings of helplessness.

This article discusses eco-anxiety, including what it is, the common symptoms, and how to spot and manage it.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/09/15/parents-told-not-terrify-children-climate-change-rising-numbers/

"Rising numbers of children are being treated for “eco-anxiety”, experts have said, as they warn parents against “terrifying” their youngsters with talk of climate catastrophe.

Protests by groups such as Extinction Rebellion, the recent fires in the Amazon and apocalyptic warnings by the teenage activist Greta Thunberg have prompted a “tsunami” of young people seeking help.

A group of psychologists working with the University of Bath says it is receiving a growing volume of enquiries from teachers, doctors and therapists unable to cope.

The Climate Psychology Alliance (CPA) told The Daily Telegraph some children complaining of eco-anxiety have even been given psychiatric drugs.

The body is campaigning for anxiety specifically caused by fear for the future of the planet to be recognised as a psychological phenomenon."

Wayne,

While that may not be a big deal for you,  I spend 4 days a week with 200 children, K-12 so when I see things affecting children profoundly........it catches my undivided attention.

I'm not working with these children for my health and get ZERO money for it.

It's to help assist them in developing their brains and behavior so they can grow up to become successful adults. They are the future.  If I thought they were tuning into Donald Trump and imitating his personality, considering my commitment to this is far greater than any agenda of Trumps..........I would be a never Trumper.

At the same time, I have been extremely concerned about how these young people are being negatively impacted by  Greta. They are targets!

Yet, the Washington Post decides to go after President Trump for something that I don't see as a problem and lift Greta up high on a pedistole to worship her..................while she messes up our children with eco-anxiety.  By turning Greta into the huge role model for young people, the MSM is f-ing up our children!!!!! They are just fine with scaring the crap out of them and brainwashing them into the fake climate crisis religion/cult because it lines up with their progressive activist belief system.

When I work with kids, it's has nothing to do with me. I do what's best FOR THEM!

So if you detect some passion in my posting in this thread, its not your imagination.
