My wife and myself are under quarantine

My wife had shortness of breath and other issues over the weekend

After  several phone calls to various medical people

It was decided  my wife should go to emerg to get checked out

I was asked to Not go with her, to emerg

As it turns out the Dr is positive my wife is suffering from a re-laspe of an earlier medical problem

So: except for some more treatment for my wife, when things get back to normal we are not showing any signs of the virus. No temp for either of us and I am just peachy okay

But because we were out of country [Detroit, 3 weeks ago]] which is a hot spot and her shortness of breath, etc.

We are requested to quarantine, at home, out of an abundance of caution

No fun at all but for the sake of others, the medical people do not want to risk either of us being a carrier

Sorry to hear about your situation.

If you are being asked to quarantine, then they must be waiting back for test results. After they come back negative, then they can't ask for that.

If she wasn't tested then it would be ludicrous to ask you to quarantine.

Being in the Detroit area does mean you were at a higher risk of being exposed vs not going there.

Since she has another medical conditions that would cause this and no fever, it seems the chances of her having the virus are very low.

Keep us posted.
