We have beat to the death the idea we have to re-open for business. That much I understand

My question??

Do we re-open our borders to travel and commerce

How can we do business if we can't access the supply chain that is intn'l

Currently we have machine parts stuck in Michigan which we can't bring home. We also have machine parts that have to go to Michigan for repair, plus we need to buy new inventory. Sometimes, depending on distance, cost, time available etc. we have parts shipped by UPS to a depot in Detroit and we pick them up, cross the border and pay the custom fees. Other times we make the trip either way directly to the place of business in Michigan. In other words we need to travel across the border both ways and do business in the USA, some times as far away as Minnisota. We have made a trip to Minnisota to pick up machinery as we can do this in off time cheaper than paying custom freight charges. Plus we get a partial holiday, seeing new places

How can our countries do business with out opening the borders to travel and commerce. We buy parts from Ireland, have then shipped to the UPS depot in Detroit and then pick them up for the last leg back to our farm. Is opening up the border part of re-opening for business. If a machine has 500 parts, everything has to be in place or the machinery is useless for use. It's like a train with no wheels
