Four weekends of the #CropWatch20 #corn in Illinois. Lots of growth during June so far but not a lot of rain. Conditions are worse now than they were to start the month, though things could quickly improve with a good soaking.
The #CropWatch20 #corn in North Dakota has grown a lot in two weeks but conditions remain average - rain is really needed. Also a first look at the ND #soybeans. Strong winds last week hurt the young plants. Both fields are only partially planted - way less than half.
This thread contains photos of all 16 #CropWatch20 fields taken within the past 24 hours. First up, #corn in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana & Ohio. IA and OH have received sufficient rains since Sunday night, but IL and IN are still in need. Crops remain in good condition.
Next up, the #CropWatch20#corn in Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota & Kansas. Corn has really improved in recent days in MN and NE after rains, and KS corn should improve after more moderate temps this week. ND needs rain badly. Only 9% of the pictured field could be planted.

Finally, #CropWatch20#soybeans in the Western Belt. Minn & Neb coming along nicely after late-week rains. Kansas beans should perk up after herbicide application and weekend rains. Poor stands in ND, and that worsened with last week's extreme winds. Rain is needed.
Last week it was getting very dry in WC Illinois. Perfect weather to put up 1500 small square bales alfalfa hay. Last Friday evening 1/2 " rain...... 3 storms today 9/10" 6/10" 7/10"
Congrats bowyer, thanks for the report!!
