Corn dropped 2% in gd/ex
Beans dropped 3% gd/ex
Cotton increased 1% gd/ex but had a 3% increase in the poor, which means a drop in conditions/crop size.
Plentiful rains were observed over the last week or so in the North Dakota #CropWatch20 fields. Crop ratings are both at 3 out of 5 (average, but not good). Bit early for yields, but #corn is seen slightly below avg and #soybeans avg at best for now.
Yield potential is also above average for the #CropWatch20 #soybeans, though more rain will be needed down the road. Flowers are in full bloom and it won't be long before pods start showing up.
Ohio and North Dakota are once again further behind, but prospects are much better in Ohio. Too much rain, wet soils, and extremely windy conditions led to a poor stand for the North Dakota #soybeans. #CropWatch20
Thanks Mike!
You're very welcome Jim!
I'm sure that you noticed the 6% plunge in ratings for both c and s in your state, Ohio, which confirms exactly what you were telling us last week.

Ohio corn

"Just got back from Ohio traveling up 77. Whatever the amount corn conditions dropped this week, it wasn’t enough. Corn in the Cambridge/New Comerstown area isn’t even knee high with large areas of just dirt. NE Ohio, the corn went from slight rolled, but still that vibrant green, to cigar rolled and a dull army fatigue green. Lawns went from green, before I left, to burnt now.
Interstate 71 is further west and they grow more crops out that way. It’s like the Ohio branch of Indiana. Might be worth a motorcycle ride soon. "
