last week, when federal agents came to Portland to protect federal buildings, they were greeted with rocks and other hard objects thrown at them by the peaceful protesters (mostly Antifa and BLM combined).. Some of the peaceful protesters blinded federal agents with laser beams. Some of the injured may be permanently blinded .

legal question: when someone intentionally tries to permanently blind you, are you allowed to defend yourself with a gun? or would this be "excessive force"

the riots in Portland have been going on for more than 50 days, on a daily basis.. and the violence is getting worse and worse.

The sick part is that you don't hear about these things, when you watch CNN or MSNBC.

If an officer cannot fire on a suspect who has grabbed his taser and is firing it at the officer,  then I am guessing lasers are just fine,  No need for lethal force whatsoever.

BTW,  did you know the Atl DA who is levying murder charges against the officer for shooting/killing a man with a taser, prosecuted an officer for unnecessary use of lethal force last year.  His lethal weapon?   A Taser.    Weird,  Huh?
