Forecast track is farther to the east and a bit stronger today, so it has the chance to become a minimal hurricane just off the East Coast(less interaction with land) in the warmer water of the Gulf Stream.
EURO Ensembles Bringing Isaias into Florida now. Looks like the new official forecast hugs the coast now.
GFS Ensembles take it just off the coast. Looks like the official forecast is the average of the two.
The NAM is farther west as well. As Mike mentioned, the farther east forecast yesterday kept the center over the Gulf Stream. This is the peak intensity on the latest run, about 90MPH. This time last night it was around 130MPH! Big difference.
Thanks and Grant!
Still a very strong tropical storm, barely under a cat.1 hurricane.
Could strengthen a tad to a minimal hurricane in the next 24 hours, before it comes inland and weakens
