many pros will tell you that the yen and gold usually go up together, and down together.

since the end of july, it looks like the bucks is trying to break out to the upside against the yen.  if the buck does succeed in breaking out to the upside, then the yen goes down, and the yen could drag gold down with it.  

just something to watch.
