"Hurricane Laura converges with Democrat Party agenda as media promotes a questionable narrative.

The hurricane, now buffeting parts of the Gulf Coast in Louisiana and Texas, has something in common with the Democratic Party agenda, namely climate change, or what used to be called “global warming.” On Thursday, the New York Times reported:

“Hurricane Laura shares something in common with both Hurricane Florence, a 2018 storm that killed 52 Americans, and Hurricane Katrina, which struck Louisiana 15 years ago this week. All three changed from more typical hurricanes into severe ones in just a day or two.”

The Times claims that hurricane intensity is caused by climate change:"

The year 2050 may not be soon enough for climate change extremists, such as Democrat Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. “The world is going to end in twelve years if we don’t address climate change,” Ocasio-Cortez said last year in rolling out her now-famous “Green New Deal.”

metmike: It's true that hurricanes can intensify a bit faster with the water temperature of 1 deg. C warmer than before. So maybe Laura would have only been 135 or 140 mph without climate change...instead of 150 mph.

With regards to Florence, they don't know what they are talking about. Hurricane intensity had nothing to do with it. It's because the tropical system stalled out over NC for a couple of days, instead of moving fast like Laura did. As a result, a record 36 inches of rain fell(max location) .

The warmer atmosphere CAN hold around 6% more moisture, so one could wild guess that without the global warming, Florence would have only produced around 34 inches of rain.

Funny thing about Florence. We were told then, that climate change was causing tropical systems to move slower, since the slow movement was what caused all the damaging rains with that hurricane.

Laura moved pretty fast for a tropical system and that's why we did not see major flooding issues.

So climate change is not causing these systems and its absolutely not causing them to go from "typical to severe" which is a lie.

It's probably causing a few of them to increase by 10-15 mph and drop a couple more inches of rain...............that's it.

It's also causing heat waves in the Summer to be a bit hotter in some locations.

Those are the main negatives and we here about them in greatly exaggerated form constantly, as well as made up problems.

Bernie Sanders predicts that many or the worlds major cities along the coasts will be under water in 8 or 9 years. This is made up.

In 2030, the AOC and others planetary apocalypse year, I predict with high confidence that the planet will be slightly and beneficially warmer, by around .13 degrees C to go along with the 1 inch in sea level rise and ZERO cities will be even close to being under water. In 2100, ZERO cities will be under water from an increase of 1 foot in sea levels.

The last 40 years has featured the best weather/climate in the last 1,000 years. In 2030, that will be extended another 10 years with even better weather/climate for life.........as we get deeper into this current climate optimum.

Cold, currently kills 15 times more humans than warmth(it used to be 20 times). In 2030, cold will be killing less humans and extreme temperatures will be killing LESS humans then currently BECAUSE OF climate change.

Cold currently kills hundreds of times more life than extreme warmth(think about what happens every Winter vs Summer and use common sense).  That will continue to improve BECAUSE OF climate change.

Polar bears, that have increased by 30% since 2005, after we were told they were threatened, will still NOT BE threatened.

Violent tornadoes, that have plunged by 50% of their numbers BECAUSE OF climate change(decreased the meridional temp gradient by warming the coldest places) will continue to be low.

In 2030, the planet will continue to be  massively greening up, THANKS TO climate change and the entirely beneficial increase in CO2. This, along with the best climate for growing crops in the last 1,000 years  is increaseing crop yields and world food production by over 20%.

So it's true, that climate change is causing some hurricanes to be slightly stronger and wetter and for some places to be slightly hotter.

What if we went back to the OLD climate?

What if we could dial down the amount of CO2 from the current 418 parts per million back below 300 ppm?

All life would suffer greatly but humans, possibly the most. Within 3 years, close to 1,000,000,000(billion-for real)  would starve to death because of food production plunging. With the resulting  price rationing because of stocks of all crops running out, prices would at least triple.

CO2 is an entirely beneficial gas in all fields of science.........agronomy, biology, climate, zoology etc.

Only in politics has it been defined as pollution for the agenda.

That last post was just words, as that last article was too.

Anybody, can use words to sound convincing, including Al Gore, AOC, Greta, Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump or metmike.
