I am convinced china has a food shortage

Repeated articles about a short grain crop, china's new policy about food waste, the hog herd is still devastated and increased grain and meat buying from USA are all signs the chinese can't hide although they try very hard. They can not risk a food shortage as food shortage is the kind of social unrest  the politburo greatly fear. It is estimated the entire pork reserves will be gone in 3 months. I don't know if we can ship fresh pork to china as the chinese consumer doesn't want frozen pork. They don't trust it for some reason.

I think our farm prices will be stronger this coming yr until china has another grain harvest. SA production will already be considered by china and still they buy for next yr delivery so they must think they need more than SA will sell.

Also some speculation about SA yields if La Nina persists
