Just wondering what the forum members think about vaccines

A couple of headlines

One person dies after receiving vaccine

Another tests positive days after vaccine

Drug Co. says the test results showed both were possible, but the benefits out weigh the risk

Information also suggests 7-14 days for immunity of 50 %, thus the need for the 2nd shot for 90-95 % protection

I don't know if anybody knows how long immunity might last

Now some additional info

In the UK perhaps less than 400 in all of the UK died who were under 60 yrs oid and had no pre-existing conditions. However as one size fits all, 1000's of under 60 lost their income either through job loss or biz closure and BK

In our county [pop approx. 500,000] we have 71 active cases and 1 hospitalized. This has risen the past few weeks from an average of approx 30-40 active cases and it seems we always have 1 in hospital. We are no where close to being over whelmed in our hospital capacity

So: If we are vaccinated, does that mean a return to normal life some time in mid to late summer of 2021

Has the damage already been done with the gov't unwilling to run the deficit higher and allowing state and local defaults. Higher taxes which might be a negative as higher taxes create additional burdens on struggling biz and capital flight, moving to lower tax states etc. Is there any money for large public projects at the expense of higher deficits

So: Do you want the vaccination, take your chances on a re-action to the shot which is relatively low and then having done your part, hope for the best economic news possible

In our county we wonder if we need to be vaccinated, given the very low active cases, but I think most will get vaccinated, if only to be able to live a normal life ,free from all restrictions currently in place
