The beauty of the Bill of Rights enumerated by our founders is directly responsible for the unprecedented success of this country. It is, without doubt, the most successful experiment in self governing in the history of the human race.As with all signs of true genius, it’s so simple.

If what I am doing does not infringe on your rights,it’s none of your business.

It’s really that simple. We are born with basic rights.Life, Liberty,Pursuit of Happiness. No one should be allowed to restrict those rights unless and until they can prove that we are restricting those rights from others in our pursuit. That’s it.The whole Constitution in a few words.

Yes, there are articles and subsections that define the rights that “We The People” grant those that are charged with enforcing the above mentioned rights, but it really is that simple.

The government does not grant us those rights. We're born with them. Their job is to ensure that no one infringes on those rights.

So, when I hear someone say, “No one needs ..“I’ll Fill in some of the blanks.

  1. A house that big
  2. That much money
  3. That many weapons
  4. THAT MUCH FREEDOM!!!!!

Etc, Etc, Etc.

I know that they have absolutely lost sight of what made this country great.I also know there is just about no point in debating with them. They are lost and they are contributing, with great zeal, to the end of the greatest experiment in self governing in the history of mankind on this planet.

The simple beauty of the Bill of Rights is that “We the People” do not need to justify what we need/want. It’s up to the State to justify why we should not have what we want. And they are required to do that by demonstrating, through Due Process, that we are somehow infringing on someone else’s rights.

At least, that’s how it’s supposed to work.

Sadly, we get further and further from that idea every day.And I see too many cheering on this demise of the most successful experiment in the history of the human race every day.

Are you one of them?

A socialist looks at a large rich house and says “No One Should live like that”.

“A capitalist looks at a large rich house and says “Everyone should live like that”.

The irony is that the one who wins is right.
