Pelosi on immigration

Just read a report from La Joya, a small town in Texas. (link below) A Border Patrol agent says, every morning, before dawn, they find a few hundred illegals. “They are everywhere”, he said. He doesn’t want to ride around, because he might hit one of them.

They were brought in by human smugglers, who gave them color-coded wristbands. They are mostly families from Central America, escaping poverty, as they say (yet, somehow, they were able to pay the smugglers $5000 to $8000 per person to get them into the US)

Our southern border is in total collapse, since Biden became president. Some 170,000 illegal aliens were arrested in March. How many made it through undetected is unknown. The Border Patrol is totally overwhelmed. Anyone can now enter the US, whenever they feel like it.

Among the arrested were terrorists from Yemen.   Arrested minors are being kept in facilities that are filled to 1600% capacity.

This is humanitarian crisis.  And it is also a major security risk for the US.   It is also a health crisis, since many of the immigrants are Covid-positive.

Yet, just yesterday, Ms Pelosi stated that the US “is on a good path” to fixing this situation, a situation that was “very bad under the Trump administration”.  What?????

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-Jlb_87IPM&t=10s

I don’t believe Ms Pelosi is insane. Neither do I believe she is ignorant. I assume that even politicians in Washington try to make an effort to be a little bit informed about what goes on in their country. Quite obviously, we are listening to the typical propaganda, she and the MSM have been spewing out since 2017,

And anyone who dares point out what is really going on, is blacklisted or “cancelled” for presenting “dangerous misinformation”

The USA is being overrun. This is an invasion. It is especially damaging right now, since the country is in shambles because of Covid.

The political goal of the Biden administration is quite clear. Let all of these immigrants come in. Give them citizenship, and this will make the US will be a one-party country.... and eventually a bankrupt socialist nightmare like Venezuela

Thanks Gunter,

The truth doesn't matter that much anymore.

There are 2 political sides battling for power with a winner take all mentality in each battle.

The side that wins on every issue, is the side that used the most convincing sounding narratives to do it. Since the narratives are often stating the complete opposite things/facts from the 2 opposing sides, one side must be mostly right and the other one,, mostly wrong.

In many cases, it's hard to tell because they are both conjured up to SOUND convincing. The reality is that you can manufacture/make up facts that sound just as convincing as the truth, and your loyal flock will usually believe everything that you state, while the other flock will believe only what their high priest's tell their cult to believe.

Pelosi is extraordinarily gifted at making sheet up and pretending to be sincere to keep her flock brainwashed.

But the better you are at it and the more often that you do it, like she does...........the more often an objective person can bust her with the truth(which still doesn't matter for her regarding MSM coverage and captured brains on that side).

Her statements  on the border crisis have been getting busted by the truth for many years now. And its happening again for the umpteenth time.

But that does not alter her credibility.

One side will continue to believe and adore her.........forever. No matter what she says.

The other side will never trust her because the truth has busted her hundreds of times.

Biden, Harris, Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, AOC

That is just the top of the heap for Dems

Even Harris who is supposed to be in charge of the Border refuses to go near the border. So  far she has made exactly one known phone call to some country in SA

If they did go to the border, then they could not spew out such information with out being busted for truth telling

As long as they stay away then they repeat the lies over and over until it is true

I think the Dems are losing the PR game as people know the truth

The Dems may be in danger of losing the moderate Dem vote

Half the population relies on the MSM to keep them informed. Sites with other views/facts are usually ridiculed as "alt-right" or "conspiracy theory" sites

Pres Biden distinctly put Kamala Harris in charge of the border crisis. I believe, this was shown on the MSM,  The fact that she has found the time to make various trips to other states, but not to the border, is appalling. She is defying the order of the POTUS.

Maybe she considers him to be an [ use your own term] one doesn't pay attention to.   It also shows she doesn't give a hoot about the problems the US is facing.

it makes me wonder. Who is Kamala Harris? What is her real agenda?

So everybody knows, the Babylon Bee is satire.  I've been using alot of them here lately because of the fake news we get about the border and in Georgia is a big joke and giving them loads of material for us to laugh about!

Biden just allocated $861 mill to countries in Central America. I think this is a nice idea. He should give them more and turn these countries into nicer places.... because, after 4 years of Biden, many Americans will pack their bags and move to Central America as refugees, claiming high crime rates and economic decay as their reason to apply for asylum

Babylon Bee is often much closer to the truth than MSM.    And as Sheldon would say "It's funny, because its true".

Gunter,

You are our go to guy on this topic and every single one of your posts about it during the top month have been right on. Please post even more about it!

However, you are shooting yourself in the foot by continually starting new threads every time you have a new link/article about the same topic/subject and use it to start a brand new thread....basically, discarding and replacing the old thread, sometimes the same day.

I know that the objective is probably to create a new headline for the new article and have the new headline at the top to highlight it.

However, when we are trying to have discussions between several people, it's best to maintain the same thread for at least several days and numerous posts, so that we know how others feel on the topic.

For instance, if Gunter starts a post on the southern border crisis on Monday and Wayne gave us one of his long, thoughtful posts to express himself on the topic, then Gunter starts a new thread on the same topic the next day, Wayne isn't going to repeat everything that he said on Monday all over again in the next post but maybe Tim will give us his thoughts on Tuesday.

Then if Gunter posts a new thread on the Southern border crisis on Thursday, maybe mcfarm spends some time to tell us what he thinks in that thread.

If we kept it to just one thread, Gunter can post as many times as he wants with new articles and points and others will have their thoughts all in the same thread. We can see what Wayne, Tim and mcfarm all think about it in the same discussion.

When you have too many threads on  the exact same topic, it fragments the discussion instead of uniting it. With one thread, we get everybody's thoughts/posts in one place.

Also, when there are several threads on the same topic.........the earlier ones quickly get buried down lower and lower, never to be seen again as tons of new topics on that topic and other topics force the earlier threads and the comments on them to go off the page.

Using the same thread ALWAYS keeps it at the top of the page, which is where it goes every time that there is a new comment.  At the same time, the many previous comments from others are right there with it. That's what we call a discussion on a forum.

Also, there are many more readers/lurkers here than just people that comment in threads. Many of them don't visit every day. Some may come here less than once a week.

Probably they are not going to review every thread going back to the last week. They will, however, look at..........maybe the last 5 or even 10 threads. If Gunter started 3 or 4 separate threads for his 3 or 4 posts/articles during that time, the first 2 ones will already be more than 10 threads down, along with any comments of others.....never to be seen or read again.

If we kept it to one(or 2) threads in a week,  it turns into a great discussion that could have more than 10 comments. and everybody can see what everybody else thinks right there in the same thread...........instead of searching for the previous thread to see what mcfarm thinks, then going back to the one before that to see what Tim thinks...........then the one before that to see what Wayne thinks.......nobody except metmike will do that.

You will note that this is exactly what I do for almost all the other topics here.

On many of them, they feature just metmike with daily additions for things like "this day in history" or "quote of the day" but when you go to the link, you get 10 times more info in the same thread and people don't have to go to 10 different threads to get it.

Those threads and several others always stay in the top 5-7 line up with regular additions. If nobody comments for a week..............they get buried and go bye bye and THEN its time to start a new thread. But when there is almost daily activity, we should keep it going in the same thread as much as possible.

This helps our readers AND this helps to keep ALL of your value packed posts right at the top in the same thread.

Does this make sense?

These are very long examples, probably excessively long but they both tell a story. We want your threads to tell us a story, show evidence, express opinions and so on.  But mostly to make it easy for readers to follow the topic.

Thanks very much Gunter!

Another great article/link!

This is pretty insane and it's very intentional from people that are taking control and with an agenda that they are not upfront about, while claiming to be transparent.

When you have the best interest of people in mind, you don't have to hide the truth because everyone would strongly support that.

You don't have to make up science and pretend its science and tell us you are following your fake science.

We live in a world where each side manufactures the facts that will support their agenda, then repeats them hundreds and even thousands of times...........until people accept them, truth or not.

Confusion clouds Harris immigration role

The White House has been forced to clarify multiple times that the vice president is focused on the root causes of migration, not the challenges at the southern border.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/confusion-clouds-harris-immigration-role-n1263671

"Harris did not hold any public events this past week related to migration and declined to take questions from the reporters traveling with her on her trips outside of Washington.

But Republicans have been quick to tie Harris directly to events on the border. Republican National Committee spokesperson Keith Schipper has described Harris as the "manager of the Biden border crisis," while RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel wrote an op-ed titled "Where's Kamala? Biden's border point person can't be bothered to show up."

Some Democrats worry the assignment could be politically perilous for Harris, especially as she considers a potential second run for president, but giving a more polarizing task to the vice president is not unusual. Biden was handed a similar role when he was vice president ahead of the 2014 midterms, which saw immigration become a key issue after a similar border surge.

Biden continued to work on the issue through the end of his term, making regular phone calls to leaders in the region and visiting the area on multiple trips.

"I spend so much time in matters relating to this area, my constituents are beginning to think that maybe I should run for office here," Biden joked on a 2016 trip to Guatemala.

As to when Harris will make her first trip to the Northern Triangle, a White House official said their team was working on planning the journey but added, "We are also being mindful that we just announced the American Jobs Plan and we're doing multiple things at one time"

metmike: This is totally unacceptable. The logic of ignoring the border crisis and supposedly focusing on the root cause, instead, when the root cause could take years to have much effect, if any is ludicrous.

It would be like (analogy) a massive crime outbreak happening in the city of Detroit(or another major US city) and the mayor NOT arresting the criminals or stepping up efforts to identify and arrest the criminals to put them behind bars. ....or to increase cops presence/patrolling to prevent/reduce crime.

Instead, the mayor tells everyone, "These people are not really bad, they just turned to committing crime because of a poor family upbringing, so it's not their fault for breaking laws. We should not hold them accountable or arrest them because it's not their fault."

"Instead of arresting them,  we try to help families in the inner cities so they raise better/good children that don't commit crimes."

"In the meantime...............I'm so sorry to the residents of Detroit that are being robbed and assaulted by these criminals right now but we will be working with the families in the inner city to start raising better children.  Just  be patient until then. You'll just have to trust us on this and to prove that we are being the most transparent administration ever, we will actually give you specific information about this at some point in the future. It's only been 3 months with the record crime rate but this happens every year anyways. We will let you see everything, including the plan at some point (after we figure out a plan) and then we will stop lying to you.....but we just don't know when that will be yet."

"To demonstrate how important this is to me, I put my all powerful assistant on this job last month to make sure it gets fixed. Don't worry that she's not had any news conferences or been able to provide any information. She's just really, really busy doing other things right now. And you know and trust me. I'm a really nice guy and would never lie like the mayor before me, so I know that you'll give me as much time as I need before I tell you what our plan is."

I think that sums up Biden's entire strategy.
