Lots of data this week,  all of it good to great.  Getting this done now as we are headed for a short vacation this weekend.

State Street Inverstors settled slightly but remain in positive territory.

Housing appears to be turning around. Pending Home Sales returned to positive and prices continue to grow at an annualized rate of roughly 12%.

Redbook remains at previously unheard of levels.

Jobless Claims remain in a much better range than we've  been accustomed for the last year or so.  Still too high,  but getting within range of normal.

GDP showed a solid 6.4 with Consumer Driven Spending at nearly 11% growth.

MFG remains a bright spot accompanied by a mild turnaround in Durables.

Personal Income and Outlays showed an astounding turnaround.

The week deserves a solid B- with the suck factor stubornly hanging at 5.   Job Picture needs to improve.

That equities are down this morning is a mystery in view of these funnies,  but the market always solves the mystery sooner or later, one way or another.

Thanks much Tim!

I spent some time going over your numbers today compared to previous weeks and since I don't follow these economic numbers as closely as you, quickly realized that it was taking quite a bit of work to go back and find the previous number.....that was already conveniently listed for me from your previous reports-I didn't have to look it up- and realized, holy cow! this was taking alot of time.

How long does it take you to do a longer report like this one today?

I'm every more grateful after doing some basic comparing of numbers from previous reports.

Never really tracked the time.  A few hours a week.   But it's worth it to me.  Keeps me informed, and posting it here makes it a comitment.    That you make the history accessable makes it even better, more comprehensive.   I sometimes check the last few reports to make sure I'm staying honest.

That's the least I can do to help maximize your effort Tim!

Have a wonderful vacation.

Where you going?

A State Park in NE Ga called Mocassin creek.  1st time there,  but it's near some land we're looking at for our next home.  Build a little cabin.   Kinda hard to find what we want.  A rural setting with a beautiful view, mountains with streams,  etc,  that can be accessed by a 40 ft motor home.    What we've seen so far is on gravel/dirt roads more suited to dirt bikes...

We'll get there.
