My guess is that the first corn rating, if it does come out today will be on the higher end because of wonderful planting and early emergence conditions.

The Spring wheat crop might deteriorate slightly.

POLL: Analysts see initial U.S. #corn conditions at 70% good/excellent. That is identical to initial conditions a year ago, above 59% in 2019 and below 79% in 2018. The five-year average for initial corn conditions is 69%.

Spring #wheat is 43% good/excellent, below last week's rating and the trade estimate of 45%. North Dakota is still 31% g/e.

U.S. #corn is rated at 76% good/excellent as of Sunday, above the trade expectation of 70%. It was 74% in the same week last year and 79% in the same week in 2018.
