This is a real story about how china steals technology, since this is the start of the week end and time for a long story

China wanted a new hotel to cater to the NA tourist trade

I was on a tour that had a Chinese tour guide who told us all kinds of stuff

One story involved the hotel we stayed in for 10 days [I think]

What they did, when starting the project, was look for a western Co. that wanted to invest in China

So they started a partnership using americiN TECHNOLOGY ABOUT BUILDING AND STAFFING LARGE HOTELS

aT THE END OF THE 1ST YR. THEY REFUSED TO  continue the CONTRACT BUT INSTEAD BOUGHT THE AMERRICIAN INTERREST BECOMING 100% CHINESE OWNED

but the tourist trade soon failed as the americian/ NA tourist guides did not put the hotel on their list of places to stay

The service and meals were not what western culture wanted at a hotel costing mega dollars

Thus they were forced to invite a new americian investor and learn how to run a hotel catering to western food and service etc. Soon they had the game plan down pat and then bought out the second partner

Doing business in China does not mean a contract is a contract

A contract is merely the start of negotiations in china

This was all told to us by our tour guide and he was very proud about the superior Chinese business dealings with americians

Of course we begged to differ, but when you are watched 24/7 your room is searched and what else nobody knows

You don't say much, just listen and stay quiet

So: when china is accussed of stealing americian technology, they are actually very proud of what they have done

They will say anything but just remeber
