My father was in the Pacific Theater, 3rd & 6th marines. I could never imagine what these people endured in these nasty world wars. Terrible ,Tragic,suffering.
My almost 96 year old dad was in the army then but never got sent overseas.

metmike: Since presidents, other than Trump have everything they do planned ahead of time, we can assume that this was very intentional.
We can guess that it was likely decided by those calling the shots and not personally by Biden who always says "May God protect our troops" when he exits. Must have said that thousands of times which makes it extraordinarily odd that he would not be knocking himself out to recognize those very troops on that historical day.
The only thing that makes sense is that he was told to do this.
Why is that?
We know that this administration is part of the cultural revolution that has already started.
One element in this is to downplay accomplishments of hero's in our tainted past because they represent the past democracy which they are trying to change.
Those guys risking their lives on the beach in Normady sure weren't doing it for socialism. Some of the ideals they were fighting for don't exactly line up with the ideologies with this cultural revolution. The climate accord is 100% about this and will do nothing to affect the climate.
This is also why there has been a huge movement to tear down and remove statute and monuments of past leaders. Rename streets, rename schools, even Lincoln is getting replaced.
Out with the old........in with the new. It's that simple.

The most selfless act in history, not National flower Day or Save a cricket day. Do you think that might just deserve a mention? Then you go on to state"who ever made the decision"...for Christ's sake you are talking about the President and the Vice President and the thought of D-Day never once crossed their mind or is it just assumed nowadays that commy's like Susan Rice and her crew are solidly in total control? You're letting your hatred for Joe Biden, along with your sources taking advantage of that getting in the way of seeing who he really is.
First of all, I was wildly speculating based on feeling certain that Joe Biden, personally does not feel this way and trying to come up with a reason for him not honoring D Day.
Secondly, you are not considering the fact that its clear that he feels the same way that you and I do about these brave soldiers and even more so, which he has expressed before..........because he lost one of them, his son.
It makes absolutely no sense that he did not recognize D Day...........except for 2 possible reasons.
1. He is personally torn up about it because of the loss of his son or, the one that seems most likely.
2. There are some major gatekeepers that are calling the shots here that we would have our minds blown to know about. The United Nations. They are behind the climate accord, the fake climate crisis and the cultural revolution.
Memorial Day was a US holiday and they would not have any say in that. D Day is a global holiday and they could be sending out signals on that.

One of the things I am pretty good at is to take something that makes absolutely no sense(to me) and where others are trying to explain it using explanations that don't make sense because of their cognitive bias/preconceived notions and they are limiting their understanding to what must be obvious to them.
I look at all the information, objectively, including tons of info from areas that would seem unrelated but........nothing can be ruled out when the known facts make no sense.
Then, sometimes come up with revelations based on what totally makes sense as the facts line up to support it. The facts must line up, even if connecting the dots does not always have documented proof every step of the way.
In doing that here. I see the United Nations as being the likely culprit.
Most people don't realize that United Nations is the group that hijacked climate science and created the climate crisis.
They established the IPCC in the late 1980's(Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) as the worlds omnipotent authority on weather and climate that releases its alarmist IPCC reports on a regular basis for ALL countries and governments to follow......which is exactly where it started and how its been accomplished from the top.
Most climate scientists work for the government and they all follow the IPCC(UN) climate reports for guidance.
The IPCC not only hijacked climate science, they actually rewrote it to completely take out the Medeival Warm Period that was this warm, 1,000 years ago.
The climate accord was manufactured and written by the United Nations and will do almost NOTHING at all to affect the climate/weather. All this baloney about a climate crisis and we need to save the planet is manufactured. The planet is greening up from the benefits of CO2. We are having a climate OPTIMUM and the best thing we ever did for the planet was increase CO2 because levels were bordering CO2 starvation for life on this planet.
The optimal level of CO2 for plants in just over double the current amount.
The objective of the UN and climate accord(which they are getting) is a cultural revolution that changes our political and economic models to global socialism with them as our mommy and daddy.
Spreading and balancing the wealth across the planet. That's why the rich nations all have cut emissions and pay billions to be in the accord and all the poor nations, don't have to cut emissions and they get our money(supposedly for climate reparations because we wrecked their climate--too funny as we experience the best weather/climate in over 1,000 year with crop production in all those countries +30% because of climate change/+CO2).
Why would the UN not want the US to make a big deal out of D-Day?
The Allies, after the D-Day success become known as "The United Nations" fighting together but for the right of sovereignty for each individual nation.......for democracies and independence...........to not be controlled by any other nation or entity.
The current United Nations does not believe that and doesn't want the original United Nations ideology to get in the way of how their newly defined, one world order and one world government, with one ruling body, the United Nations(them) fairly distributing the worlds resources to all member countries.

Their desparate cry that we only have 10 years to "save the planet" has been shouted out for at least 32 years, that I have documented evidence of them doing it.

One of the things that he campaigned on and did his very first day in office was sign backup with the UN's Paris Climate Accord.
He insists that he wants the US to lead the world to push the Climate Accord agenda, just like Barrack Obama did.
You can't have that position and not be falling in line with the United Nations agenda....global socialism. It's possible that Biden is being manipulated and doesn't realize all of what I've stated above but he's not dumb(just old) and the gatekeepers at the top making all the decisions that give Biden the guidelines know exactly why they are doing it.
