U.S. export inspections last week were in line with expectations, #wheat slightly above.

#Corn inspections continue at an above average pace for the time of year. Some 795kt of corn were inspected for #China.

USDA confirms the following sales of U.S. #soybeans for delivery in 2021/22:336,000 tonnes to #China120,000 tonnes to unknown That's a total of 456,000 tonnes or 16.8 million bushels.

#China was ramping up purchases of new-crop #soybeans this time last year (green line) but they've been sluggish lately. There's some barriers in place this year that could prevent similarly strong buying as early as last year, but they should eventually need to place big orders.

Reuters reporting that #China has bought at least eight cargoes of U.S. #soybeans on Friday for shipment from Pacific Northwest ports mostly in October. That's at least 480,000 tonnes (17.6 mbu). As of June 10, China had booked 3.05 mmt of new-crop U.S. beans, unknown 2.8 mmt.
