In other words is the cure to higher prices?? well-- higher prices

It looks as if some house buyers, car buyers and large durable goods such as appliances has peaked, to some extent.. In other words the buyers have said the price is too high. Will this resistance to higher prices continue or in some places and not others??

Will other consumer goods meet resistance to higher prices. Will that back yard patio be put on hold, or the RV will wait

Essentials must be bought but discretionary spending, especially by the upper income might just wait a bit and see if it is a good idea to spend or save

Most lower income can't afford a back yard patio at today's price for lumber, even if lumber has come down, just go to your home Depot and price some lumber.

So: Will it be the upper income folks that decides if inflation is transitory or not

Is the high dollar job what people want or will some accept a lower income and more freedom with family and less spending

Spend or save, high dollar income vs family time

How will this affect higher prices,

All good questions and

Is the Fed correct that inflation is transitory

High prices cure high prices, if the Fed is correct

prices have been going up since the 1930's.  the fed does not fight inflation, the fed causes inflation.  sometimes it is higher, and sometimes it is a bit lower.  but it is Never temporary.
