What some of us have been saying for months and others just knew but did not see a reason to comment

Electricity shortages have started to affect households and factories in china

XI wants blue skies when the Olympics come to china. He wants to show the world china is a responsible partner in reducing emissions

However XI and china have a problem. They do not have enough alternative green power for electricity

Rolling black outs 1st affected china manufacturing as XI ordered a reduction in coal fired generation plants, supplying electricity. Chip production was one of many supplies china exported which XI ordered to be reduced factory production Apple, automotive etc. and other chip users will be affected

Then the situation got worse as coal prices doubled, and XI promised house holds would not see higher electric bills. Electrical power suppliers were losing money, thus they slowed supplies

You don't need a PH'D in electric supplies as consumers were finally affected by rolling black outs due to electric shortage

The same happened in CA when green power was supposed to supply the needed energy for grid  power demand

Where will green power fail next nobody knows but so far green power has been wishful thinking, except to supply small amounts into the grid

My guess is a lot of money will be spent on green energy with no hope of success. These trillion dollar bills currently looking for votes in congress, will be a huge waste of money IMHO

Bear is correct, given enough time and inflation will be out of control.

Will we pay 100.00 for a ham burg and fries as the price has gradually crept upward and 100.00 seems crazy today but in time an accepted price???

Green power prices are one of many inflation indicators

Check out today's corn price and commodities in general

Then check out supplier shortages and price increases passed along to the consumer

Prices and shortages seem to be accepted as normal

What happens in china with banks facing default, housing markets in turmoil, electricity shortages possible social un rest in china will all affect us one way or another

None of this is transitory

With the way that the US government has been spending money that we don't have in the last year and a half, an inflation driven recession is almost inevitable. And that is the bright outlook. Been riding high from the 70's, and people are used to it. 2 generations that have become complacent in their luxury. Gonna be hard on them.
