NASS on Thursday will publish its Small Grains Summary, which will be the season's final estimate of the 2021/22 U.S. #wheat crop. Analysts see the harvest shrinking slightly from USDA's last estimate based on smaller spring wheat output.

Analysts' predictions for USDA's Sept. 1 grain stocks place #corn at the lowest for the date since 2013, #soybeans lowest since 2014, and #wheat lowest since 2007. Report is due Sept. 30 at 11 am CDT. This is 20/21 ending stocks for corn/soy and end of Q1 for 21/22 wheat.

Don't forget, the Sept. 1 stocks can be affected by adjustments to the 2020 corn and soy crops. Below are analysts' predictions for the 2020 harvests in USDA's Sept. 30 report. NASS will review the 20/21 components and adjust where necessary.

Nothing about the 2021 U.S. corn and soybean harvest will be revealed in the Sept. 30 report, which will wrap up the 2020/21 year.

The next chance for USDA to adjust the 2021/22 (current) corn/soy crops is Oct. 12.

The 2020 U.S. #corn harvest was smaller than previously thought, but #soybeans were larger. The revised yields are 171.4 bu/acre and 51 bu/acre (was 172 and 50.2).

This year's U.S. #wheat harvest was not as big as expected, largely because of an unexpectedly smaller hard red winter wheat crop. Spring wheat production was a bit smaller than projected in August.
