This was the last report that I got from Deaconess Hospital in Evansville:

https://www.marketforum.com/forum/topic/79442/#79623

"Out of the 28 people on ventilators for COVID right now, all 28 are unvaccinated. 0 are vaccinated.

Out of 47 in the ICU, 43 are NOT vaccinated. 4 are vaccinated.

Out of 108 at that hospital with COVID, 95 are unvaccinated, 13 are vaccinated.

This is the way it is in many hospitals right now. These are honest people, nurses, doctors and healthcase workers reporting the stats.

There isn't some conspiracy theory to make up fake numbers using collusion with all the hospitals and counties and states and data collecting entities..... that FOX news and far right sources want you to believe.

This is real data that reflects the no brainer effectiveness of being protected by getting vaccinated.

It's extremely compelling and extremely reliable data.

People and sources passing around DISinformation about the effectiveness of the vaccine and amplifying the low risks of getting it to scare people with deceit have caused many thousands of deaths.

They've caused work places like where my wife works, PBTT to shut down production or suffer other losses because employees did not want to get vaccinated.

It's done nothing but cause harm to the US and people in the US.

There are no benefits to not getting vaccinated............other than to claim nobody can make you do something that saves lifes and increases freedoms for you/the vaccinated.

Right......I can bash my head with a hammer too and claim that its my right but what is the point?"

People not getting vaccinated have been a tremendous burden on the health care system. Draining resources that could have been used to help others.

Wearing out many thousands of healthcare workers, doctors and nurses that work around the clock taking care of them and trying to save their lives, even if they were not smart enough to get vaccinated.

They have resulted in tens of  millions of dollars of additional costs. Their deaths taken a toll on their families/loved ones. Those with long COVID being a burden and cost for up to 6 months after recovering.

Getting vaccinated provides 11-13 times more protection and 90%+  of these unvaccinated people in the ICU or that died would not have been that sick or died.

This is PREVENTABLE.......if they'd only get vaccinated.

want to talk about some other "real" numbers? How many die with covid and how many die from covid? And why suddenly are the powers that be changing the usage of such numbers? More political cover for the Biden team of fools?

And then just this afternoon, a teacher in NY state caught unlawfully entering a students house to secretly vaccinate that young girl against her parents wishes wishes what???? A Johnson and Johnson vac not even approved for young kids.

that teacher was not immediately fired but reassigned. Lucky if the parents do not visit her in the middle of the night and take care of business themselves.

"How many die with covid and how many die from covid?"

Are you still repeating that long ago busted repeatedly,  rhetoric, fake news conspiracy theory?

The doctors and nurses and hospitals are honest people reporting the honest facts on COVID mcfarm. Some of them are democrats and some of them are republicans but almost all of them are honest.

There isn't some huge collusion going on with all of them in different counties and different states trying  to make people believe that COVID is worse than it really is. Or even in certain hospitals by certain doctors to get rich from getting extra money by claiming patients have COVID when they really don't or distorting medical information about their COVID to make money on it.

That's made up from your extreme right conspiracy theory sites.

The facts are that COVID cases are much more likely to be UNDER counted not over counted as you falsely claim.

I busted it repeatedly for Gunter.

AHA continues to debunk false claims about COVID-19 deaths and payments

https://www.aha.org/news/blog/2020-11-02-aha-continues-debunk-false-claims-about-covid-19-deaths-and-payments

"Hospitals do not receive extra funds when patients die from COVID-19. They are not over-reporting COVID-19 cases. And, they are not making money on treating COVID-19.

The truth is, hospitals and health systems are in their worst financial shape in decades due to COVID-19. In some cases, the situation is truly dire. An AHA report estimates total losses for our nation’s hospitals and health systems of least $323 billion in 2020. There is no windfall here.

Further, hospitals and health systems adhere to strict coding guidelines, and use of the COVID-19 code for Medicare claims is reserved for confirmed cases. Coding inappropriately can result in criminal penalties and exclusion from the Medicare program altogether."

Hospital Payments and the COVID-19 Death Count

https://www.factcheck.org/2020/04/hospital-payments-and-the-covid-19-death-count/

"As for the accuracy of the death toll, other experts have previously  told us that while it’s true that some deaths attributed to COVID-19 likely would have occurred regardless of the disease, other factors — like the deaths of undiagnosed COVID-19 victims, including those that occur at home — contribute to a more significant problem of under-counting the deaths. At least you can come here and get all your MISinformation from far right sites like FOX corrected with authentic facts/data.

I watch FOX too mcfarm and read some of the far right crap that you believe.

I want to read and hear ALL the views to understand everything......not just go to echo chambers that repeat things I like to read/hear.

Even if they are telling blatant lies............I want to try to understand why.

mcfarm,

You don't seem to be getting much from all this constant debunking of the fake news and DISinformation but we do have hundreds of other readers. Some of them with more open minds probably do. ......and I'll never give up on you!

However, I'm also realistic and acknowledge that these messages are really meant for people that want objective truths.

Thanks very much cutworm!!!

We should keep in mind that the pool of unvaccinated people continues to shrink, fortunately, especially in and around big cities.

I was actually shocked at how low the rates are in some of the urban counties in Ohio.

I realize that you are in Southeast IN and that this hospital is in N.KY but assume that many of their patients come from the Greater Cincinnati area. Correct?

Looks somewhat similar here in our Hoosier State.

The bigger the city/higher the population........the greater the vaccination rate. Much of this is because the big cities have more democrats and rural areas have more republicans.

The urban and suburban areas of the northern counties {Kentucky} are densely populated. Indeed, of Greater Cincinnati's over two million residents, 450,994 of them live in Northern Kentucky (as of 2019), with the three most northern counties contributing 394,163 residents themselves.

I believe that they serve mostly this area. JMHO

I noticed that the numbers you gave us are different from the actual source that you linked us to.

Your source states the numbers below......OK, I see now that you gave us some old data from a week ago.

1-4-22

183 patients with COVID  60% NOT vaccinated  40% vaccinated

30 patients in the ICU   80% NOT vaccinated  20% vaccinated

19 patients on ventilators  84% NOT vaccinated 16% vaccinated

cutworm,

I'm especially glad that you chimed in here because it suddenly reminded me of a thought that came up in a previous discussion with you that I completely forgot about with regards to putting people in just 2 categories like they've done above.

1. Vaccinated

2. Unvaccinated.

People that got vaccinated almost a year ago but did not get a booster have lost some to much of the protection from their shots.

They don't know how much exactly but are recommending a booster now after 5 months for the Pfizer, so one can guess at least down 50% if your shots were almost a year ago.

So those vaccinated with shots a year ago, might have protection weakening closer to the UNvaccinated but be categorized as VACCINATED.

This was the discussion/post:

https://www.marketforum.com/forum/topic/78087/#78096

"It might be near impossible to find many stats that keep track of sick people in 4 categories.

1. No shots

2. 1 shot

3. 2:shots

4. 3 shots"

Some of those people in the ICU and on ventiliators that are vaccinated, were vaccinated over 6 months ago.

Since the boosters have been out for more than 3 months now and the shots more than a year, to accurately assess the effectiveness of the COVID vaccine with sick people, we really need another identifier that lists WHEN they had their last COVID shot..or another category for those that had a booster.

This huge study gives us that information.

What additional protection is gained from getting the booster compared to the waning protection of 2 shots that were given more than 5 months earlier?

BNT162b2 Vaccine Booster and Mortality Due to Covid-19

https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2115624

Results

"A total of 843,208 participants met the eligibility criteria, of whom 758,118 (90%) received the booster during the 54-day study period. Death due to Covid-19 occurred in 65 participants in the booster group (0.16 per 100,000 persons per day) and in 137 participants in the nonbooster group (2.98 per 100,000 persons per day). The adjusted hazard ratio for death due to Covid-19 in the booster group, as compared with the nonbooster group, was 0.10 (95% confidence interval, 0.07 to 0.14; P<0.001).

Conclusions

Participants who received a booster at least 5 months after a second dose of BNT162b2 had 90% lower mortality due to Covid-19 than participants who did not receive a booster."

So many  of the vaccinated ICU and ventilator patients may have only had 2 shots!

Thanks cutworm,

I think the most important stats involve the most severe cases and deaths but those stats have been losing their meaning/significance because many peoples last vaccination was well over 6 months ago...in some cases almost a year.

People that get the flu in 2022 that got the flu shot in late 2020 but I’d not get the flu shot in late 2021 would no longer be considered vaccinated in any stat for getting the flu in 2022.

We are still counting people vaccinated for the 2021 COVID season as vaccinated when their protection is running pretty low right now and they are closer to being unvaccinated like in the example above for the flu for people vaccinated for the 2021 flu season but not the current one.

crazy times 2. Today it was announced that Indiana Health commissioner Voxx has covid for the second time. She is one of the elites, protected from day 1. 2 vaxx's, booster etc etc but gee was the vaxx developed for the variant? No of course not. And what happens, those not affected {Pike twp schools] immediately goes right to virtual non learning again to protect the school unions who still think kids give the teachers a virus or pretend to think that for leverage to close all together in place like Chicago. Nearly daily now crazy things happen and people freak because of a virus that we must learn to live with. When in the first months we knew we had to protect the vulnerable and the rest of us have to live our lives and make our own personal health decisions.

I go to 5 schools each week to teach chess. The school that I go to on Tuesdays/yesterday had 7 students out with COVID. They said that it was the most yet since COVID existed.

You can decide whether you think its not many or alot and consider how contagious the Omicron is and knowing that the first couple of days that people have COVID and don';t know it..........they are contagious to people around them.

Those were kids that did not come back to school from the Christmas break, so they were NOT interacting with other kids at school.

We'll see what happens now since they are all back in school after the Christmas break.

There's a good chance for an outbreak in the schools but we'll wait to see.

So I'm pretty close to over 100 students on 4 days at 4 schools every week doing chess. I I didn't wear my N95 mask the last 2 days(forgot it at home), just a regular one and should have but had the booster less than 2 months ago.

We'll see what happens there too.

My biggest concern with getting it is bringing it home to my wife.

and to think I was feeling that MM had just cancelled me again only this time on a new subject. the pandemic and the unvaxxed. Well what do you know, just heard a clip from dr redfield today. You remember Dr Redfield right? Former head of the cdc no less. And gee I am just a lowly dirt farmer from the Midwest and guess what. He and I both saying horse crap to this pandemic of the unvaxxed crap big gov is selling. Isn't that odd? A man of science, decades in service just like Fauci? Only difference is he has not been caught changing his story weekly like Fauci has.

https://www.bing.com/search?q=dr+redfield&form=IE10TR&src=IE10TR&pc=EUPP_ACJB   just look at those words....infectious disease specialist,,,,,virologist   ....almost as qualified as Fauci but without running around looking  for any nearby camera or reporter. Kind of like he never sought the limelight but did his job.

"Only difference is he has not been caught changing his story weekly like Fauci has."

mcfarm,

You still haven't learned by examples here to do your own fact checking.

For starters, this guy is currently PRO vaccine, like me  and trying to get as many people vaccinated as possible but claims that people like you, if you tell them the truth and use the term "pandemic of the unvaccinated" will just dig in and it will cause them to do the opposite.

He's right about that.

But I'm here to tell the truth.

With regards to him not changing his story............you just saying things because you think that you heard it on FOX is going to get busted here if it isn't true and this one is the complete opposite of the truth.

The CDC chief lost his way during COVID-19. Now his agency is in the balance.

https://www.usatoday.com/in-depth/news/investigations/2020/11/11/covid-19-cdc-director-buckled-politics-tarnishing-agency/3755324001/

"USA TODAY interviewed dozens of Redfield’s current and former colleagues, as well as his critics, supporters and an array of public health officials. Reporters reviewed internal CDC communications and more than 45 hours of his statements at the Capitol and in television and radio interviews. While Redfield’s capitulation to the White House has received attention throughout the pandemic, this reporting provides the most comprehensive portrait of the nation’s public health leader as his credibility unravels."

Robert Redfield’s Epic COVID Failure Is Not a Surprise to Many HIV and Public Health Experts

https://www.thebodypro.com/article/robert-redfield-coronavirus-failure

"The statements, and the subsequent clash with the president, were stark. In mid-September, Robert Redfield, M.D., the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said clearly what most people in the public health world had known for some time: Contrary to what President Trump had been promising, a COVID-19 vaccine would not be widely available by the end of 2020—in fact, it likely would not be ready until the middle of next year."

way to skip right over what Redfield truly said MM.  Yes he is provac we have known that for months. Now what he said was I am not for mandates but use the gift of science and vacs. He says its an individual decision not a place to force people. He further says plainly THIS IS NOT AN EPICEMIC OF THE UNVACCED. Placing blame and mandates is not the way to get more vaccinated he further says. Did you even listen to one word I asked?

Department of Health PA

https://www.health.pa.gov/topics/disease/coronavirus/Pages/Post-Vaccination-Data.aspx

Updated 12/13/2021

The Department of Health's monthly update on COVID-19 post-vaccination cases, commonly known as "breakthrough," includes data from Jan. 1, 2021 to Dec. 6, 2021, which shows the overwhelming majority of cases, hospitalizations and deaths were among unvaccinated, or not fully vaccinated, people:

  • 85 percent of reported COVID-19 cases were in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people.
  • 87 percent of reported hospitalizations with COVID-19 as the primary diagnosis/cause of admission were in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people.
  • 86 percent of COVID-19-related deaths were in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people.

The data shows that the COVID-19 vaccines are highly effective for preventing hospitalizations and deaths, even as more post-vaccination cases occur in the context of more transmissible variants and more residents getting vaccinated.

COVID-19 Cases and Deaths by Vaccination Status

https://dshs.texas.gov/immunize/covid19/data/vaccination-status.aspx

Key Findings

  1. From September 4 through October 1, 2021:
    • Unvaccinated people were 13 times more likely to become infected with COVID-19 than fully vaccinated people.
    •
    • Unvaccinated people were 20 times more likely to experience COVID-19-associated death than fully vaccinated people.
  2. Vaccination had a strong protective effect on infections and deaths among people of all ages. The protective impact on infections was consistent across adult age groups and even greater in people ages 12 to 17 years. The protective impact on COVID-19 deaths, which was high for all age groups, varied more widely. In the September time frame, unvaccinated people in their 40s were 55 times more likely to die from COVID-19 compared with fully vaccinated people of the same age. Unvaccinated people aged 75 years and older were 12 times more likely to die than their vaccinated counterparts.

Pro-Trump counties now have far higher COVID death rates. Misinformation is to blame

https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2021/12/05/1059828993/data-vaccine-misinformation-trump-counties-covid-death-rate

"People living in counties that went 60% or higher for Trump in November 2020 had 2.73 times the death rates of those that went for Biden. Counties with an even higher share of the vote for Trump saw higher COVID-19 mortality rates.

In October, the reddest tenth of the country saw death rates that were six times higher than the bluest tenth, according to Charles Gaba, an independent health care analyst who's been tracking partisanship trends during the pandemic and helped to review NPR's methodology. Those numbers have dropped slightly in recent weeks, Gaba says: "It's back down to around 5.5 times higher."
