Study: Omicron associated with 91% reduction in risk of death compared to Delta

metmike: What this means is less need to be vaccinated and less lives lost in 2022 compared to 2021 from people not getting vaccinated.

90,000 US COVID-19 deaths could have been prevented

This likely means much less need for lock downs and possibly other items, like  mask wearing, testing and quarantine times.

Still very uncertain and dynamic/changing situation.

There can always be new variants too.

Timing of future vaccinations for optimal protection is uncertain as well as what those vaccinations will protect you from.

Why N95, KN95 masks are so much more effective than cloth

I believe that there are an enormous amount of false negatives currently and a tremendous number of cases not getting tested or not reported with Omicron.

Possibly as high as 3-5 times more than what's being reported.

This means a huge spike higher the next few weeks.............herd immunity, then cases plunge lower by March, with the number of hospitalizations down to the lowest of the pandemic by the end of Spring!

The COVID script has already been written for that!
