so, if the u.s. finally decides to ban russian oil, will this be a case of buy the rumor, sell the news?
did anyone here change their position based on this?
Great question bear!!!!
Natural gas has managed to separate itself from the other energies with the huge pattern change to much warmer in the US causing prices to crash lower since early Sunday Night.
However, I think the downside could be limited if the liquid energies hold up.
With regards to the reaction to actual news of anything up here. The market is jacked up on emotions based on news and over reacting.
Trying to predict where the markets are going is hard enough under normal demand/supply dynamics.
Now, we are trying to predict the markets reaction to pure news about the news.
Confirmation news about the speculation news in this case.
You are probably right though.
Long Oil and looking to add more. Current Objective is Above $200. Everything will be done by June 1.
You know folks, there is a large supply of oil just north of your northern border
Thanks Richard!
You've been long oil 100 times since 2008.
Maybe this time you'll be right!

Great call bear!!
Nice call bear. Buy the rumor sell the fact an old standard.
I think approx 8 % of crude oil and products come from Russia to the USA
Rather small amount, don't you think ???
But it did fool most of the people most of the time, or some thing like that
