 I have not followed copper for years but stands to reason copper stock levels would indicate something-and these levels look too low to remain or the price is too low to remain.

Do you feel copper is as good an indicator of construction activity as I think it might be?

construction is going on like crazy around here (NW tucson). 

but,  here is another thought.  as gas prices continue to be elevated,  more people think about buying an electric car.  does this mean a greater demand for things like copper, and nickel, etc?   

here is my big worry.  as more people use electric vehicles,  we do NOT have enough grid capacity to charge them all.  we eventually will get more rolling blackouts when it is 110 degrees outside, because the grid gets overloaded.  

the wind does not always blow.  the sun does not shine at night.  and too many libs do NOT want us to build any more coal or NG power plants.  

we need more power to handle all the electric cars.  

and yes, your power bill will go up.
