U.S. export inspection data is delayed this morning because USDA is having computer troubles. These numbers have recently been watched a bit more closely than normal because of the problems on the river. Will post when they are available.

U.S. export inspections for #soybeans last week were down from the strong previous week, and 2.57 mmt is largely average for the week vs other years. 49% of last week's beans were inspected at the Gulf, 39% at the PNW. #Corn & #wheat numbers remain meh to poor.

Soybean exports usually peak around this time of year or slightly later!

So here's what this looks like for #soybeans now. One one hand, you might say recent #'s are pretty good given a disappointing crop/tight stocks/high prices. On the other hand, are recent higher volumes spillover from the poor start to the marketing year?

Cprn exports usually go up from here until next Spring.

#Corn doesn't look too good. But again. Consider tight stocks, high prices, steep shipping costs and recent logistical problems. Given all these things, did we expect fireworks here? On the other hand, can Ukraine keep shipping corn? Lots to think about and plenty of time.

Lowest #corn sales for the week since 2012.

Sales of #soybeans below average (745kt to #China). Don't forget, U.S. stocks-to-use are near decade lows.

Strong #pork sales (largest since January - Mexico & China were buyers).

#Cotton sales largest since Aug. (but sorta avg).

Exports of U.S. #soybeans to #China in September - aside from the trade war year of 2018 - were the month's lowest since 2008 at 8-9 cargoes.

Likely due to U.S. logistical issues because sales were plenty sufficient. October number will jump.
