Thanks cutworm!

Yeah, wind turbines can cause some problems for local radars.

A few years ago, somebody wanted me to testify for a group trying to stop a huge local wind turbine farm.. I understand the problems but felt they would be much better served by another person who had actually  done the serious science and testified before.

Considering what I've learned since then about wind turbines being the energy source from environmental hell (that kills millions of birds/bats, destroys landscapes/ecosystems, requires mining for rare earth metals) to produce diffuse, intermittent power based on crony capitalism, political agenda and a completely fake climate crisis........I might have been more motivated to assist them.

Even though the energy produced by wind turbines is renewable, the sober truth is that much of the materials used to manufacture a turbine is anything but.

And as more and bigger turbines will be the norm for multiple offshore and land-based wind farms planned in the U.S., the need to acquire as much of these rare-earth materials will become an even larger necessity in the coming years.

A single industrial-size wind turbine can require as much as three metric tons of copper and permanent magnets composed of rare earths, according to Dan McGroarty, Advisory Board Member with USA Rare Earth LLC, a U.S.-based company developing the Round Top rare earth and critical minerals project in Texas. Of the 17 rare earths, a wind turbine uses about a ton of four of them: neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium, and terbium. And even more copper is required for grid transmission.

Critical Rare-Earth Elements Mismatch Global Wind-Power Ambitions

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2590332220302980

In response, many countries have developed ambitious plans to expand wind power. However, wind turbines heavily rely on rare-earth elements (REs), and it remains unclear whether supply can meet demand. We investigated potential conflicts between RE demand and supply across ten global regions up to 2050 under four widely recognized climate scenarios. We found that RE supply capacity to support ambitious system-wide wind-power development is likely to be hindered by the monopolistic structure of the RE supply chain and intensified geopolitical and environmental constraints, and an 11- to 26-fold increase in production will be necessary to meet ambitious wind-power-expansion targets

China’s dominance of the rare earths supply chain is a geopolitical risk

https://www.investmentmonitor.ai/sectors/extractive-industries/china-dominance-rare-earths-supply-chain-risk

China has a rare earths strategic vision

China has had a strategic vision for REEs for three decades – something the West has totally lacked – and it is creating a new state-owned enterprise, China Rare Earth Group, which will control 60–70% of the country's rare earths production. In other words, 30–40% of global supply. The country's control of the rare earths supply chain is similar to the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries' influence over the oil market. China can control the price of REEs by adjusting supply. It could even shut down the entire supply chain – something that would be catastrophic for the renewable energy industry, the EV industry and the smartphone and television manufacturing industries.

With regards to rare earth metals, China has most of them!

The US has the most dominance in one particular energy source.

Coal!

https://www.marketforum.com/forum/topic/89801/

https://www.marketforum.com/forum/topic/89801/#89913

The US has 24% of the worlds proven coal reserves, THAT's where the most of our energy security is! Many thousands of times more energy than what's in the SPR!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_coal_reserves

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

So what are we doing with that coal?

https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=48696

In 2020, U.S. coal production fell to its lowest level since 1965

                                        annual U.S. coal production

Source: U.S. Energy Information Administration, Annual Coal Report

U.S. coal production totaled 535 million short tons (MMst) in 2020, a 24% decrease from the 706 MMst mined in 2019 and the lowest level of coal production in the United States in any year since 1965.

They are intentionally and effectively killing off coal  because of it's CO2 emissions. The biggest affect from that CO2 is to green up the planet. The biggest affect of  killing coal is US energy insecurity.
China, Russia, India, the Middle East and non NATO/Western counties all know this. The fake climate accord has nothing to do with climate. it’s designed to obliterate energy security of developed countries and impose a new world order based on a,political agenda.

those claiming this was the plan for decades were seen as conspiracy theory wackos. It’s no longer a theory. It’s happening in our real world with crystal clear evidence to prove the theory. And the rock solid empirical data shows how detrimental the impacts are.

Betcha you never thought that an Eric Snodgrass video would get a response like this (-:

However, this is extremely serious business.

How often do you have a fraud perpetrated on our planet/people (life experiencing the best weather/climate in the last 1,000 years BECAUSE OF the beneficial gas, CO2 which is GREENING UP the planet) that is several orders of magnitude greater than any previous one? That the world is completely oblivious to.

Cutworm,

Since you're from Indiana, I thought that you might enjoy these discussions from 3+ years ago.

More concern over proposed wind farm project in southern Indiana

I had a dozen email exchanges with a group trying to stop this project as well as some phone conversations.

There are alot of better places in the country too for wind turbines.

List of wind farms in the United States -

In fact, looking at the map below from a few years ago and also comparing it with the average wind speed in Southwest IN from the previous email, , this is a really dumb place to put wind turbines.................and that's why there haven't been many around here and points south.......because there isn't enough wind to justify them.

This is what clinched it for them:

There was actually a ton more going on but the bottom line is that they won! No wind farm at that location because it really would interfere with the Doppler radar very close by and put them at a higher risk during severe weather with possible longer delays with some  warnings for low level features, like........TORNADOES.
